Day 17: Grief
Of grief's five stages
known to mankind,
my suffering words the first.
It feels like nothing
of that kind happened,
like more awaits to be cursed.I'm waiting to hear more of it,
but it looks like nothing is there.
The more chains I drag around my wrist,
the stronger I feel despair.I always look at the brighter side,
but I'm hopeful to a fault,
like a wealthy man of ending hunger
marching to his vault."So what is next, and how to move on?"
Nothing is next, don't clench your fists.
Sit down and process what is truly gone,
until you find out just why empathy exists.
_____________________________________________A/N; well that was hard. I'm in denial of so many things in life that it is now overwhelming to face them all at once. Hopefully I'll be able to sit down and address that issue before I move on to the next chapter of my life.
Hope you all like it!
