Day 5: The View From Up There

The autumn leaves fall on me
as I lay sheltered under a tree
staring up at the sky
as the migrating birds fly

I've always admired the ones
that voice their thoughts singing
the ones that shout or whisper
whose voices are melodious or crisper
That's when I heard my phone ringing:

"Her soul soared so high:
Nana has rested in peace.
The funeral starts tonight.
To her family, attend and ease."

Beloved Nana, I ask you today:
What do you think -
Is the view from up there
Worth living in a blink?
