THIRD PERSON POV
"Clint, you're going to be alright." Natasha soothes her best friend softly.
"You know that? Do you know that for sure?" Clint scoffed. "I have to flush him out, Tasha."
"We don't have that long, it's going to take time." Natasha sighed in doing the restraints around his wrists.
"I don't understand. Have you ever had someone go inside your head and play with it! Change it so you don't even know who you are anymore?"
"You know I do." Natasha said in a whisper.
"How'd you get him out?" Clint asked.
"I hit you in the head really hard." Natasha laughed lightly.
"Thanks." Clint chuckled breathlessly, letting out a breath of air.
"How many agents?" Clint asked, bracing himself for the answer.
Natasha shook her head, "Don't. Clint, that wasn't you. It was Loki. This is magic and monsters and nothing we've ever been trained for."
"Loki, he got away?"
Natasha hummed, "I don't suppose you know where?"
"He's going to make his play soon. Today."
"We gotta stop him." Natasha said standing up.
"Who's we?"
Natasha shrugged, "I don't know. Who's ever left."
"You don't sound like you, Tasha." Clint sighed, "You're a spy, not a soldier. What did Loki do to you?"
"He didn't, I just.." Nat trailed off.
"Natasha."
"He unleashed the hulk without moving from this glass box we put him in. He hurt y/n and-"
"Who's y/n?" Clint asked cutting her off.
"Uh, a new recruit. Spider-Woman."
Clint smirked, noticing the faint rosy tint on his best friends face, "You like her, don't you?"
"I don't know, I've never dove into the relationship part of life."
"It's not something you dive into, Nat!" Clint chuckled, "It's something you drown in."
"Then maybe I do like her. I don't know, Clint. I don't think I'm ready."
"Nobody is ever ready, Tasha. Just get to know her some more and try not die this Loki business and you'll be just fine." Clint gave his friend a reassuring smile.
"He seemed like a good man." Steve said coming up next to Tony, both of them staring at the dried blood on the wall.
"He was an idiot." Tony shook his head.
"Why? For believing?" Steve furrowed his blind eyebrows.
"For taking on Loki alone!"
"He was just doing his job." Steve let out a small sigh.
"He should have waited!" Tony snapped.
"Sometimes there isn't a way out, Tony. Is this the first time you lost a solider?" Steve asked putting his hands on his belt.
"WE ARE NOT SOLDIERS!" Tony turned around sharply, "I am not marching and dying for Fury."
"Neither am I! Fury has the same blood on his hands that Loki does. Right now we have to push this aside and get this done. Now, he'll need a power source-"
