"Bruce gave him a sedative. He's gonna probably be out for the rest of the day." Pepper informed us all before heading back into Tony's room.

Carol clapped her hands together, rocking on the balls of her feet, "You guys take care of him. And I'll bring him a Xorrian Elixir when I come back."

"Where are you going?" My fiancé asked when Carol began walking away.

"To kill Thanos." Carol replied nonchalantly.

Steve glanced at Nat and then at me as we all shared the same look.

"You know, we usually work as a team here." I said licking my lips.

"We realize up there is more your territory, but this is our fight too." Steve added.

"You even know where he is?" Natasha asked.

Carol shook her head, "I know people who might."

"Don't bother." Nebula husked from where she stood in the corner of the room, "I can tell you where Thanos is. Thanos spent a long time trying to perfect me. And when he worked, he talked about his great plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him. I'd ask "where would we go once his plan was complete?". His answer was always the same: "To the Garden."

I snickered, "That's cute, Thanos has a retirement plan."

"So where is he?" Steve asked.

Rocket pressed a few buttons and a holographic model of the earth popped up, "When Thanos snapped his fingers, Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions. No one's ever seen anything like it... Until two days ago. On this planet."

"Thanos is there." Nebula confirmed.

"He used the stones again." Natasha let out a shaky breath, rocking on the balls of her feet.

"We'd be going in short-handed, you know." Bruce gulped.

"Look, he's still got the stones, so..." Rhodey trailed off.

"So let's get him... Use them to bring everyone back." Carol said.

"Just like that?" I asked.

Steve hummed, "Yeah, just like that."

"Even if there's a small chance that we can undo this... I mean we owe it to everyone who's not in this room to try." Natasha said, a hint of a smile tugging up her lips at the sliver of hope that was uncovered.

"If we do this, how do we know it's gonna end any differently than it did before?" Bruce asked and for once I actually agreed with the scientist.

Carol puffed out her chest, "Because before, you didn't have me."

"Hey, new girl, everyone here is about that superhero life. And if you don't mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?" Rhodey asked crossing his arms over his chest.

"There are a lot of other planets in the universe. And unfortunately, they didn't have you guys."

Steve smirked, "Let's go get this son of a bitch."

We all broke off and started suiting up, preparing ourselves for the battle that was to come. Natasha was practically glowing with the excitement she was trying to contain.

"I hope this works." Natasha mumbled.

I placed my hands on her shoulders, digging my fingers into the tense muscle. I kissed her cheek as we just stood in silence. I had more negative thoughts than good ones. We were going in with less than half the team, fighting off one guy with the power of the world at his fingertips. I don't think we'd all make it out alive again. I kissed her cheek one more time and left the compound, taking my seat on the jet.
