"You're back for more, I see." Taskamaster laughed from behind me. I didn't really have a plan for finding him, just kinda figured he would find me and he did.
"Well, you killed my girlfriend so I figured I'd return the favor." I hissed.
"I have enhanced memory. Meaning I can copy your moves that you do and anticipate your next one."
"Anticipate this, bitch!" I barked, shooting my electric webs at him. His arms stuck to his body, the electricity coursing through his suit and stalling him long enough for me to grab a nearby trashcan and throw it at him.
His body flew backwards, trash flying all over the place. Taskmaster hissed, disappearing in a cloud of smoke and I looked around, the hairs on the back of my neck standing. He appeared in front of me in another cloud of smoke, upper cutting me and I harshly bit my tongue, the blood coating my mouth. I spat the blood out, glaring at the man.
"Little kids got some party tricks. That's cute." I commented snarky.
Taskmaster chuckled, pulling out his small shield and unsheathing a sword that glowed orange, "You have no idea, spider!"
NATASHA'S POV
I groaned, the dryness in my throat made me wince. I fluttered my eyes open to see the other sitting or standing, looking at me with many emotions in their eyes. You know, for people who were taught not to feel, we sure felt a lot. I noticed I was wearing one of y/n's sweatshirt on my top half, my catsuit still covering the lower half of my body. I looked around the small room y/n and I shared while here and noticed she was missing from the others.
"Here. Drink." Melina handed me a cup and I took a sip, swallowing the bitterness of the vodka.
"It's vodka." I deadpanned.
"It's medicinal." Alexei shrugged, taking a swig of his bottle.
Yelena handed me a cup of water this time. Not that I didn't mind the vodka, I just wanted something more refreshing that could moisten my throat.
"Where's y/n?" I asked wiping my mouth off with the back of my hand.
Yelena shrugged, "Probably tearing up the city trying to find Taskmaster."
"She went alone?!" My mouth dropped open in shock.
"Natasha, you went unconscious and your heart was failing. You were dying." Melina said.
"That doesn't explain to me why my girlfriend is off on an angry rampage trying to find Taskmaster." I hissed.
"Go on, Yelena. Tell her." Alexei nudged the blonde.
"Tell me what?" I asked Yelena. My sister sighed, looking away from, "Tell me, Yelena!"
"I told y/n that you were dead!"
"You did what?!" I yelled, my face flush with anger. "Why would you- what through your mind, Yelena?!"
"Y/n is the only one who can stop him! She might not know it but she is the only one of us who could!" Yelena shot back, "She needed motivation."
"And telling her I was dead was your plan?!" I pinched the bridge of my nose. Oh my god, I can't imagine how my girlfriend feels. I wouldn't be able to function properly if I knew she was dead, I'm sure she was no better.
"Why are you so worried about her? She'll be fine." Yelena huffed, "She said she would die for this. For you."
"That's what I'm afraid of! Y/n has a destructive personality, addictions! I have no doubt she will fight him until she physically can't! She is going to get herself killed." I gritted out through my teeth.
