YOUR CHOICE: Yoongi fucks shit up. I'm looking forward to writing this.

There's a moment of silence, and then the front door opens. Taehyung jumps at the sound, and then he climbs out of the shower, to sit with me. I tilt my head at him, and he grabs my hand, almost instinctively.

"What the fuck?" Kyungshit mumbles to himself. "I thought-"
"Bang Kyungjae, get the hell out of my fucking house!"

That's Jung Hoseok. I can't help the small smile that appears on my face at the sound of his voice, though I am a little worried about what he'll think of me now. I shake my head, squeezing Tae's hand and taking a deep breath. That's the least of my concerns right now.

Where's Yoongi? What's gonna happen with Kyungjae? What will Hoseok do? What about the tried-and-tested method of calling the police?

Guess it's time to find out.

"How the fuck did you know I was here?" Kyungjae demands, and we hear footsteps track through the apartment to the bathroom door. Two sets of footsteps.
"That's beside the point. What are you doing here? We told you that you weren't welcome here," Hoseok returns, clearly attempting to sound intimidating. But, and I mean this in the  nicest way possible, my boss is a ray of sunshine. He doesn't sound scary to me.

"Babe, let me." Taehyung's eyes widen at the sound of his brother's voice.
"Shit's about to get real," he mutters to himself, fidgeting with his spare hand for a moment and then deciding to just play with my hand instead. Cute.
"Tae?" I question. He just beams at me, out of nowhere.
"I don't think you've seen Yoongi hyung when he's pissed off, not properly, have you?" I shake my head. "You're not ready for this."

"Oh, and what are you going to do, huh?" Kyungjae challenges, sounding faintly scared already, but still trying (stupidly) to sound unbothered. "You small ass freak."
"Don't-"
"Hobi, what did I just say?" Yoongi interrupts.
"To not?"
"Exactly. Let me."

There's a moment of silence, and then: "Tae, Kook, I'm guessing you're both in there? You can come out now." I perk up at the wording.
"That's what my mum said three years ago when she got tired of me being in the closet-"
"Not the right time, Jungkook." I deflate a little, pouting at Taehyung, who just shakes his head at me, rolling his eyes and standing up, tugging me to my feet.

We leave the bathroom, and I finally get to take a good look at Kyungshit. He's taller than I expected, with short black hair and an unassuming face. If I looked away from him, I'd probably forget what he looked like. He's kind of irrelevant, to be honest. Or maybe I'm just being bitchy because he's being a dick? Probably. I don't really care.

Then I glance at Yoongi, at the scowl on his face, and thank whatever god I can think of that I haven't pissed him off yet. Because holy fuck, he's much scarier than I was expecting. There's an anger in his eyes that seems to make him grow where he stands, even though that gaze softens a little when he glances over at Tae to check on him.

"Right then, asshole, listen up and take some fucking notes," Yoongi starts, stepping forward so that he's in Kyungshit's space. "Nobody wants you around, here, so stop showing up. You've been replaced, big time." Out of nowhere, he turns around, beckons me forward. "Meet your replacement."
"Hyung, wha-" Taehyung starts, and my own eyes widen at the bluntness of the situation at hand, even as Yoongi holds up a hand for quiet, looking irritated.

"Kim Taehyung, I will not have you standing there denying the truth. Kook is your caregiver now, whether you want to admit it or not. You two have a connection that Hobi and I saw from the moment you two met." Kyungjae raises an eyebrow cynically.
"He has no idea-"

"Shut your fucking mouth before I break your goddamn knees, Kyungjae, I'm getting to you. Wait your fucking turn, or you'll regret it," Yoongi snaps, glaring at him. "I'm already mad at you. Don't make it worse for yourself." Kyungjae goes silent, nervous. Yoongi just scowls at him again.

He then returns his attention to Taehyung and I. "Kook, I'm not fucking blind. You're more protective of Tae than I am, and that's saying something. Grow some balls and tell him how you feel, because he's not gonna figure it out on his own. He's a bit blind when it comes to this kinda shit, and whenever he guesses things, he gets it wrong."

"How do you feel?" Taehyung demands, confused, looking between Yoongi and I, and his older brother sighs dramatically.
"Can you two have this conversation when I've finished, please?"
"Absolutely, hyung."
"Good."

Then he turns to glare at Kyungjae. "You're a fucking idiot if you think that my brother is taking you back. Treating someone like a freak and suggesting that they're crazy because of a simple thing that many people experience isn't 'cute' or funny. It's fucking disgusting. Using that as an excuse to fulfil your stupid ass fetish of being the only person in someone's life is messed up, too. You're the one who needs to be locked up. Not Tae."

The asshole in question opens his mouth to defend himself, and Yoongi just smacks him, full on smacks him across the face with the back of his hand. The sound echoes through the room for a moment, and we all stare at a furious Yoongi, shocked. "No. You don't get to speak up for yourself when you know that every word I say is true."

"But-"
"You lost the right to make excuses when you treated my brother like an object, Kyungjae. You lost the right to have any control over his life when you vanished like a fucking magician doing some sick magic trick. You lost the right to care for him when you abused his trust. You're not worth the mud on my shoe or the dead skin cells that your face is made of. Get the fuck out of my house, out of our lives. Next time I see you, I'm calling the fucking police, and that's a fucking promise."

"You could call the police this time around," I suggest, hesitantly. "Breaking and entering is illegal, and this could be considered stalking behaviour as well." Yoongi raises an eyebrow at me. "Why should he get away with it this time? He's proved already that he doesn't deserve yet another chance, so why should we give it to him?"

"Koo's right," Taehyung pipes up. "It would get rid of the whole issue."

His older brother just nods once. "And you two say that there's no bond between you." He shakes his head slightly, almost to himself. "I call bullshit."

Hoseok pulls out his phone, dialling for the police, and Yoongi smiles a little at his fiance. "I knew I said yes to an intellectual."
"Wait! I'll change! Just don't-" Yoongi steps forward, as if to smack him again, and I raise a hand, interrupting the moment. He tilts his head at me.
"May I?" Yoongi nods, gesturing towards Kyungjae.
"Be my guest, Kook. Be my fucking guest."

"Someone cover Tae's eyes."
"I'm not a baby," Taehyung grumbles, placing a hand over his eyes anyway. "I can handle a little violence."
"Oh, we know," Hoseok puts in. "It's the thought that counts."

Kyungjae backs up a little, but I follow him, forming a fist with one hand and punching him hard, directly in the nose. There's a quiet crack, and someone swears under his breath behind me. "I did martial arts as a kid," I say quietly, calmly. "I warned you once, and I'll warn you again. You don't want to fuck with me."

And as I leave Kyungjae behind, his nose flowering red with blood, to check on Tae, I catch Hoseok's eye. He just nods approvingly at me, and that's when I know. I did the right thing. And that's all that matters to me.
