_PHASe_
_7:00pm_YOONGI'S POV
There was barely a breathe I had been holding back now. Applauds echoed in the huge room as we bowed as thanks to everyone currently present. The ceremony finally came to an end, and I've never been more happy about such a thing. "Wow.... We're actually Operatives now!" Hoseok exclaimed as we walked side by side down the hall towards our shared room. To pack up.
It's been two whole months since I came here and signed up to be a trainee... It all seemed like yesterday when I was convincing mom and Jae to let me come to PHASe. Time just moved on so quickly I think I forgot something already.
Since we're officially ops now, they assigned us our new separate news in the main building of PHASe. I was in the middle of stuffing my bag when a knock on our door caught our attention. I look at it, wondering just who it might be at this hour. "I got it." Hoseok said, already pressing on the panel next to the door so it slid open.
"Hi, good evening."
A tall man with purple hair and a dimple smile stood at our doorway. He wore a dark brown coat and had sunglasses hanging off of his dress shirt's pocket... He seemed a year younger than me too. And he really was damn fucking tall alright.
"Hi! Can we help you?" Hoseok asked and I went back to packing my bag, too occupied with it now more than the guy outside our door.
"Yeah, you guys probably saw me in the ceremony earlier?"
I side glanced at him, hearing his question. My brow lifts. Come to think of it, he does look familiar.... "You were that Operative speaking with Dr. Park, glancing at us. You were holding a wine glass." The tall ass man seemed impressed with my close observations and nodded quite excitedly.
"Those are sharp observation skills there. I'm glad you recognize me." I nod at his acknowledgement and motion for him to continue speaking. "Anyhow, I actually dropped by to congratulate you personally for entering Phantom Alpha. Also, we have a meeting later in Alpha's conference room." Hm? A meeting already?? That intrigued me honestly, what could be so important we have a meeting right after the ceremony ended?
"You know the way right?" He asked. The corridors were fucking dull and very confusing the first time you walk along it. But staring at the map often helps memorize the place so... "Yep. We already do." Hoseok smiled at the man who returned it genuinely.
"That's great to hear. So yeah, I'll see you guys there are 8pm. No need to bring anything, just yourselves."
He smiles yet again and left, leaving Hoseok and I to shrug at each other and continue stuffing our bags.
"You packed up?" He asked, earning a simple hum from me, and we were out of our shared room.... That'll probably be the last time we see it.
"Alright, Imma head to my room now. See you there at 8?" Hoseok said, seeming to head the opposite way I was going. I nodded and gave him a small smile. "Yeah. I'll see you there." We fist bumped and headed our way.
My last few weeks before the final trial was hell. Most of the trainees were gone and only a few of us were left. And of all the Phantom Cells.... I was ranked high enough to be in Phantom Alpha. Four. That was my codename now. Hoseok entered Alpha too, which I was fucking thankful for. And to think we were gonna end up in the same team from the very beginning since he tripped on me and became my roommate... What a fucking coincidence.
