KATE'S POV

30 minutes and counting. That's how long I sat in the corner of a dark building in the second floor, waiting for my cue. I was assigned to keep watch of a route Three assumed the suspect will be passing through. Six and Freya were at the end of the street. In case the suspect found us out and tried to run away, both of them will be there waiting to catch him. I don't know where Nine and Three are but I saw Four enter another building a few blocks from my post. He was assigned for the long run, incase the suspect tried to look for another exit to escape.

My sniper was in my hands, its nose peaking out of the broken window just enough for my scope to see the route clearly.... But I had no intention of using it to open fire. Four was always left with that assignment. And I'm gonna leave t that way.

"One, 9:00. Is he there?" Nine asked. I squint in my scope, catching the figure of a man casually walking down the street. "He's here. He just passed my post." I replied and pulled away from my scope to get an overview. "I'll approach him. Everyone get ready." Was his next order.

I was up on my feet the next second, rushing down the dusty staircase to ghost behind the man. Nine was already just a few meters behind him, hands casually tucked in his cost from the cold of the evening.

The sun had just set moments ago and I'm glad the suspect had already passed through the route. I wouldn't have a problem watching him through my scope because I have it on night mode too but I was more worried that we'd have to run after him in the dark.

I swing my sniper behind my back and crouched down behind a tree to peeked from it. Nine was making small talk with the suspect from the looks of it. And further from them, my eyes caught sight of a black figure moving behind some thick bushes. Four. He was already on the move too.

"Who he hell are you!?"

And that's our cue. The suspect was on the run and I was out of my hiding spot. I pull my hood and mask on as I ran off, spotting Four start to run too. I rushed past Nine, no need to stop by him as his voice rang in through the coms.

"Go get him."

I sprint off, gaining speed on him. Four had yet to show himself incase the guy took a turn somewhere. The wind blew on my face and my legs were starting to tire but I grit my teeth under my mask. Adrenaline rushed through my veins, I felt like running a marathon.

He turned back and spotted me but suddenly took a left turn on the next alley. Oh what a fool.

Out of nowhere, he was punched in the face and tackled to the ground. He grunts from the impact as Four twisted his arms behind his back. My speed slowed down till I came to a stop. Six and Freya were already walking their way to us, weapons in hand.

"Wow, you're really dumb." Three appeared to my right as he tutted at the man on the ground. Nine was cleaning his glasses with a cloth as he casually approached them with Three.

"Pull him up." Three said to Four who roughly pulled the man by his arms and made him kneel on the ground. A grunt grit through his teeth as Four held him.

Three pulls out his trusty tablet along with his pen and his questions came flowing out in an instant.

Interro on the spot was harder but Three opted for it anyway. We've done this lots of time I don't even see a difference anymore. A tap on my shoulder makes me turn my head. It was Freya and Six.
