The Nightmare Called 'Reality'

FOUR'S POV

     Thanks to that shortcut I got from Three, I found that KAIROS Op just in time..... But I wish I didn't. Now I get why Three told me specifically NOT to engage.

     "What are you doing here huh?" I mumble out to myself, looking through the scope of my sniper rifle while hiding on a rooftop.

     It was the Magician... or Mags, whatever. She was casually strolling the place. But where did she come from? If I follow her now, she could lead me directly to KAIROS. But I could get outnumbered as well.

     I just watch her. Until Three came through the coms, "Status?" he asked. And I was fighting the urge to go and tell him "100% irritated and itching for a kill."

"I'm just watching that bitch." I spat out... a little too harshly.

"You sound like you wanna kill her." He stated. I felt a smirk creeping up my lips.

"You bet I do." I reply.

"Well don't. You know what could happen..." I roll my eyes at his reminders.

"Yeah, yeah, now shut up mom."

     I hear him sigh at the other end. "You better be thankful I'm not with you right now you brat." I chuckle at that and shook my head.

     The coms go silent as I stop replying and eyes Mags through the crowds. She was heading towards West Gate......

'Could they be there? But then again if I ran into more KAIROS Ops I'd be in trouble......'

"Nine..... Do I follow her?" I press on my coms, still keeping an eye on her.

"......"

'Now what?'

"Nine!" I say a little louder.

"Don't. She doesn't look like she's planning anything though, right?"

     "I don't think so. She's heading towards West Gate right now..... Hopefully you can see that on the radar."

     "Yeah but the moment she goes in, her dot will disappear and if you follow her, yours will too. Get back to the hotel. We can't afford what happened before to happen again."

     I'm pretty sure he's talking about Zero getting lost and beaten up. But he's right. So I got up and started packing up the rifle. But my head turns back to where Mags was walking. A certain girl got in my sight.....

'It's her again.....'

     I take out my scope again and zoom in on that girl I bumped into earlier. How'd she get over there suddenly? I stared at her.

"It's really not possible.......... But why does she look like she's following Mags?"

     My frustration was driving me crazy as I couldn't figure out if what I'm seeing is really true or a hallucination.

NINE'S POV

     I stare at Four's dot. "Why isn't he moving?" Three hums at my question and stands behind me, probably looking at the monitor too.

"He hasn't left yet?? Thought he was done." Three held my shoulder as he leaned closer to the screen.

     I magnify the area. He was staring somewhere. I spin the overlay and try figuring out where he was looking. As I did, I froze. I was thinking maybe it's just a coincidence, but he was staring at the direction of Seventeen's dot.
