The first road course of the season is here at Road America!
Larry Hagen is on the pole as him and Alex Fletcher will swap equipment, so the #28 has the #48 equipment. On his outside is Colton Layne. William Duncan starts P3 as Matt Sladek starts in 4th. 5th is Peter Onjack with Preston Emmons on his outside. Row 4 is Casey Mears and Cody Smart. Rounding out the top 10 in row 5 is Jacob Rose and Bobo Jones. Larry leads the field to the green at Road America! Cody Smart makes it 3 wide as Hagen clears into turn 1! William Duncan is into 2nd past Colton Layne! Eric Monaco with a great save out of turn 5 with contact. Sladek tries to take P3, but Layne clears into the carousel. Larry Hagen leads lap 1 of 16. Peter forces Emmons wide along with Rose! Into turn 5 Jeffery Finguy is around! No caution for the spin. Sladek goes off at the carousel! He loses several spots as Bobo Jones hit the wall at the carousel! Caution is out!
On lap 5, Hagen leads the field back to the green! Layne gets a massive jump as Emmons is on the very bottom! Onjack 3 wide as Mears goes 4! Onjack and Duncan into the wall as Smart spins! No caution! Logan Cloud into P4 as Mears is up to 5th! Layne is almost wide in turn 3! On lap 7, Cloud is off! He keeps it off the wall! Cordelle Smith is slow! There is a fuel leak on the 6 car! Tib Foster is off! Hard into the wall at the carousel! No caution for Tib! Rose is wide into the gravel! The 45 is stuck at the outside of turn 3! No yellow! Caution for Nickolas Moore! Yellow is out on lap 10 of 16! The caution comes out when Moore makes contact with Onjack and nails the wall hard! A massive hit in terms of cash as well for the 38 car.
On lap 12 Hagen leads the field to the green again! SWJ with a massive jump! The 83 is slow and plays a factor! Caution is out! Zach Rodgers has gone off! We look to have a 1 lap shootout. Massive damage to the 8 car! Sladek gets into Duncan and the 8 car takes a hard hit! The 83 just got hooked and involved in another crash.
On lap 15, Hagen leads the field to green again! Layne gets a good jump! Peters goes further 3 wide for the lead! Hagen is clear of Layne! Matty Porta looks to be into P2! Hagen takes the white flag! Finally, after so many years, Larry Hagen will come home and will win in the NSDCA!
