Third person's POV

When Harry found out that he has a daughter, he couldn't sleep that night. It bothered him a lot knowing that he missed his daughters first word, her first step, even her birth and how many doctors appointment he missed. And everything that just involves his daughter. He realized that he was not part of her life. He feared that his own child wouldnt recognized him, she wouldn't know that he was her father. It scared him that Talia might not let him see her. The fact that she hid herself and their child away from him, it scares him that he will never be able to see his daughter even just once. His mind is now clouded with thoughts about his child.

Morning came, but he was not able to sleep, not even a blink. He was up all night thinking and reflecting on everything that has ever happened to him for 4 years. How much he had a chance to enjoy his life to the fullest while he neglected duty as a father and abandoned his family just for his own selfishness. He chose his career over them. If he just knew back then, how much painful it is to see your child laughing with her mother while he was out there, performing, touring all around the world. He couldn't accept the fact of how much he missed in her life. And that made him promise to himself that from now on he will not miss anything important in his daughter's life.

So he bought himself a ticket to Quebec, where his girls are living. To finally meet them. He was nervous and at the same time excited. He doesn't know what to expect. Would his child recognized him? Would he be able to meet her and hug her? His mind was a mess when he took his flight on the way to his family which he abandoned 4 years ago.

Talia's POV

Annie and I were watching TV when someone knocked on the door, so I got up from where I was plopped down. And went to open the door. Thinking that it was one of our neighbors who dropped by to give us some food. Since that is the kind of neighborhood that we are in. We share our blessings with each other and we have each others back. But when my eyes landed on the person behind the door, my face fell because it was someone whom I don't want to see nor have any interest to cross path with. It was the guy who left me four years ago.

"Harry." My voice trembled in fear.

What is he doing here? How did he find me?

"Talia." He breathe, with a small smile on his face.
"What are you doing here?" The tone of my voice changed into stern.
"I'm here for my daughter." My eyes widen in shock. How did he know that we have a daughter?
"She's not your daughter, she's my daughter." I muttered harshly.
"And I want to apologize for what I did r years ago." He said in a pleading tone.
"You left remember? So why are you coming back now?" I screamed infuriated and that silenced him.
"I perfectly heard what you said that day, Harry. You said that I'm on my own now, right? If you are here to see her, it's better for you to leave. You don't deserve to meet my angel. Goodbye, Harry." I screeched and slammed the door on his face then locked the door. He continued to bang on my door, pleading and begging for me to let him meet her. There is no way on earth that I'll let that happen.

Third Person's POV

She may have slammed the door on his face but that wasn't enough to make him give up on trying. He keep pounding on her door, begging for her to open the door, but she was adamant and stood her ground.

The noise have been heard by her neighbors, to which crept up some curiosity in the neighborhood and one of her neighbor went out of the house to see the chaos that is going on outside. When she saw the man banging on her door, she immediately catch on to what's happening, she approached the man in her elderly manner. It was Mrs. Douglas. One of Talia's closest neighbor.

"Excuse me, young man." her voice was soft but on the inside she wanted to slap the man on the face for abandoning his family but refrain herself from doing so. She wanted to hear the side of his story first and an idea popped on her head, why don't she invite him on her house for some tea? So she can make him spill the tea.
He stopped what he was doing to look at the person who called him.
"Would like to join me for some tea?" she offered, he only nodded his head, not being able to say a word. He was afraid that his voice might break if he speak. So
he followed the old woman to her house and to have some tea. And for some reason he felt a little comfortable when he was in her house, it reminded him of his own grandmother, back home in Cheshire.

The two of them talked while drinking tea. It started with a light talks before it turned into something personal and serious. Mrs. Douglas asked him what happened back there, but he stayed silent.
He didn't want her to know what kind of person he is. How horrible he is but also he knew that she might have an answer and might be able to help him meet his daughter so he gathered himself and narrated his side of the story. While Mrs. Douglas listened, trying to understand the side of his unheard story.

"You know, Talia suffered so much for you. She went through everything, alone. She was able to raise your daughter to be a good kid. She is the best mother to your child. But her love wasn't enough for Annie. Still, your daughter longs for you. Even if you missed a lot of things in her life. She misses you and wished to be with you, to make memories with you. I understand that, that time your career was more important to you than your family. I understand that music is your passion. And you felt that you have to choose between the two, your career or your family. And let me tell you, Harry, you chose the wrong path. Family is something that you couldn't weight. Family comes first and there is no valid excuse for that. And I also understand her part. You abandoned her so you can keep doing what you love. You know, you could have both that time, you could still do what you love and spend time with your family. Talia didn't made you choose between her and your career. It was you who made the choice." Mrs. Douglas stated. Those words hit him like a ton of brick. She was absolutely right about everything. It was all his fault, he made the choice to abandon them. She never made him choose between his career or his family. It was fear that made him choose even there was no given choices. She only wanted to be with them, her family but what he thought was totally different. He thought that she did it on purpose to distract him from his career, but he was stupid enough not to realize the fact. Family comes first. No questions.
"You know what, gran. You are fucking right! It was me who thought that I have to choose between my family and my career. I abandoned them because I was an ass. I am an idiot and stupid. And now I regret my wrong decisions in life. I don't even know if she will ever forgive me for what I did. And now, I have to endure the consequences of my stupid actions. And not being able to see my daughter is one of those consequences that I have to go through." He sobbed, his cries were filled with pain, regret, sadness and guilt.
"My, my, young man. Crying right here wouldn't solve any of your problem. But doing something to correct your mistakes would help you find the answers that you need, to solve it. So why don't you go back to where you are staying and come back here tomorrow morning. I'll help you regain Talia's trust again for the sake of Annie, I'll help you." She offered with a small smile on her face.
