Jay's POV

Dom and enter the school one behind each other. All the kids are hiding under the desks, already shielding themselves under the table just incase and the windows are covered. " CHICAGO PD UNLOCK THE DOOR PLEASE! " I ask through the door. The teacher hesitently opens the door to let us in. " Alright kids. Get into groups of 6 quickly. " Dom orders after introducing him and i to the class, keeping a look out on the corridor. They quickly get into groups of 6 and I take the first group outside leaving Dom to look after the rest.

" kids get down! " I whisper after hearing a gun shot. " Halstead you good? " Ruzak asks over the radio already outside with his first group of kids. " Ye were good. Do you know where the shot came from? " I ask before I dare move the kids. " Ye from the back entry your clear. " Ruzak replies. " Kids come on try to be even quiter this time. " I say leading them round the corner towards the door. Theres another bang but this time I drop to the floor.

Everyone's POV

" Detective! " the kids scream. The kid next to halstead grabs his radio whilst the others put pressure on the bullet hole. " Halsteads down, Halsteads down! " the kid says over the radio. " Where are you guys? " Atwater asks after me managed to get outside. " literally round the corner from the east exit. " The kid replies to Atwater.

" Ruzak! Halsteads down. Mel, Kobi were going in. Ruzak call an ambo! " Atwater orders before running in to the building. Kevin, Mel and Kobi get to were halstead is lying unresponsive and the kids all using there tops to keep the blood from pooling out. " Hey kids, good job. Did you see where the shot came from? " Mel asks. " Infront but we didnt see anyone. " one kid explains. " Boss I don't think the shooters in the building! " Kobi says over the radio. Kevin and Mel are trying to lift Halstead up but arent managing. " Ok, try to get out of there ASAP.  SWAT is getting the last of the kids out now. " Ruzak orders over the radio.

" You, what's your name? " Kevin asks one of the girls holding pressure on the wound. " Jasmin. " she replies shaken up. " Alright Jasmin keep the pressure on, the rest of you work with us to get Halstead out of here. " Kevin orders. " What do we have to do a freckle faced boy aks. " Mel and Atwater will get his arms and legs the rest of you lift his torso area okay. " Kobi demands keeping his gun up ready to shoot if needed.

The kids, Kevin and Mel stand up all  holding Halstead. " You kids okay? " Kevin asks, the kids nodding back. " alright lets go, Jasmin make sure you keep as much pressure as possible. If you need us to slow down just say. " Mel says giving a comforting smile. Everyone starts walking towards the exit where Sylive and Foster are already waiting with a stretcher and backboard. " Good job kids! " Sylvie says putting the oxygen mask over Halsteads face whilst hes being lowered onto the back board.

" KIDS COME OVER HERE! " ruzak yells from near a tree. The group of them run over gald to get away from the building. " Is he going to be okay? " one kid asks shaking. " Hes in good hands. You all okay? " ruzak replies changing the subject having no idea himself if Jay's going to be alright. The kids nodd before Dom takes them to stand with there teacher. " shooters down, the areas secure! " a SWAT officer announces over the radio with relief.
Once hearing the news the area was secure Kevin and Adam run to the car to drive to med.
