Part 17: The answer

After the sudden attack of the town, Henry and Mark manage to escape together with some children as they hide in the deep of the forest. Mirasol also loose the soldier that chasing her but Yuki is unlucky as she was caught by the attacker together with some town's people. She is drag by them and heavily injured while Mirasol is looking from far away and feels sad to see her friend in a devastating situation. As she is carried by the soldier a voice from the back of them call her name and walk closer to her, he is Abel and he tease the lady for the situation she has and even press her injured hand as Yuki tried her best to control the pain she feels. He feels happy as his men continue to torture her and even some of their captive and Mirasol is mad at seeng the situation. As she is focus a hand from the back approach her but it was only Mark as he tried to find her, seeing the situation the guy force her to make an escape and join the others in their hiding spot.

Henry ask for Yuki but Mirasol and Mark lied saying that they can't see her and probably make an escape much to Henry's relief. They decided to stay for the night to the place and go out once the area is safe. The night came and everyone is sleeping, Mirasol take the chance to have a conversation to Mark and relocate to the place away from the others. As they step outside, Henry who they though is sleeping next to other children slowly open his eyes as he knows the real situation. Mark and Mirasol went to a nearby waterfalls and the lady compliment's Mark sharp eyes for finding the place but he dismiss the compliment as a mere luck of finding a beautiful place. The lady give her thanks to him for agreeing to her lie and Mark told her to momentary leave her worries and enjoy the place. She agreed and lean her head to his shoulder for a rest and admit that what Yuki experience is her fault. Mark ask for the details and Mirasol did not hesitate to tell the past to him, she admit that she betrayed Yuki long time ago and the reason she was sent to the River of Fire is because of her. Mark look at her in disbelief but she still continue stating that Yuki sacrifice her own freedom for her not to vanish and allowed to suffer alone for 500 years. The revelation gives Mark a sorrow as he can't imagine the pain that Yuki suffer for too long, he told her about what happen to Yuki on the day Mirasol left her and it was a news to the lady as she has no idea that Yuki still continue to received her punishment even in the present and can't imagine the distress her friend feels to those words she give. A shadow approach them and Mark quickly find a tools to help but it was only Henry as he secretly follows them. Soon the trio sit near the falls and Mirasol told them a plan in rescuing Yuki, the men agreed and decided to go to the castle since it is only Yuki who knows the location of the Destiny's Book and their effort will only be in vain if Yuki is not with them.

On the other hand, Yuki is bound while the soldier is resting. Abel is sitting in the table and having his feast as the slave look at him hungry, he went to Yuki and tease her with food but the lady is too weak so he decided to pour a water on her but the lady did not avoid it and just stare at him with bloodshot eyes of madness. The man feels bored to her and return to his sit but still continue to tease her as he ask to the weak lady why suddenly all of the answer pop up in her brain. The tease grab Yuki's attention and Abel smirk and continue to speak. He ask the lady why the Creator pampered her and even let the lady believe that all the creature of the land came from the Tree of life, he explained that those who came from the tree are considered immortal from the start and will handle a biggest task. A responsibility that is equal to the Creator, Yuki remains silent as she already knows that fact before but she is surprise when Abel told him that he is the reason she was punish long time ago. The Creator knows that the power of the stone already merge with her so instead of vanishing he send him to the River of Fire not as a punishment but as protection to her heart. He said that since she found the stone too early the power went to her body and lied there for too long waiting for the lady to learn ways of living and experiencing all the emotion for the power to awaken. Abel laugh as he told Yuki that all the experience she feels are only preparation for the stone to reach its potential and her body will vanish as part of the divine object's ritual. He even admit that it was his idea why she happens to see the stone too early and because the lady is not in a right age to handle the task the stone merge on her resulting for her to turn to dust when the object return back. With an angered tears Yuki ask him that what will happen if she found the stone in right moment and he sarcastically answered that she is not destined to vanish but will take the responsibility to hold the power of stone and write the destiny of every individual. He told her that it is the reason why she is created by the Tree of life just like those to handle a bigger role in their land. He's tone changes as he admit to Yuki that he is destined the opposite of her and feels envy because of the treatment she experience while he always beg the Creator for some love and always rejected in the end. He feels his situation unfair as he believes he also deserve the love from their Creator as both of them where a fruits of the tree and hold a huge role in the land. Yuki smirk at him and told that those who work in the dead are considered low as the castle teach her, he shout Yuki in the face and grab her neck but she still continue to speak as she tease the guy that her fate is to handle the destiny while Abel is only to guide the soul to the dead, things that she considered low. Abel push her in mad and told the guard to continue to tortured her, as he turn away Abel told Yuki that her knowledge about his role is untrue as they both shared a same fate of holding the destiny. Him to guard the book while her to protect the stone so the things that is written on the book while not change as the stone is the seal of the object. He even inform to her that it was him who gave Mirasol the map that point her to the location of the stone and be caught by all. He exposed her to the object too early and wanted the girl to vanish so that he will handle both object and got the power similar to the Creator. Yuki laugh at his idea and called him an evil as they continue to punch her, she said that their pain is common for her as she experience all the torture from the river of fire.

The next morning the trio continue on their journey and decided to leave the children to a care of the adult on the next town they will find. They found a place and the town people recognize the children from the nearby town and gladly accept them as they also experience an attack and almost all the men in their town was held captive. The trio did not waste time and continue on their journey, while on the road Henry's pocket glow and realized that Yuki left the half of her stone to him making Mi Ja able to contact them. She told them that the stone is gone a long time ago as a guy brought the said gem in exchange for the investment. Henry think it was Abel who brought the gem and Mark is mad by knowing that he is always a few step ahead from them.

The night comes and the trio decided to take shelter in the middle of the dessert and even make a fire for the night. As they take a rest they decided to have a simple talks and tried to open up the experience they have in the land. Henry is amazed by the world while Mark says that he can't believe that a world like that exist. He even joked that he can write their experience in novel no one will realized that it was his own experience. Mirasol told them that they have a different personality in their world than in her realm and Henry agreed stating that he can't believe that he has a child personality within because he was force to grow up too fast to be able to handle the company and decided to coat his personality a layer of coldness and perfection. Mark said that he also has a own personality of his own but both Mirasol and Henry disagreed to him stating that he has a childish personality even in their own world to which the guy sink in embarrassment and they laugh in the conversation all the way.

They reach the place where the castle is located and Mirasol inform them the palace is in the deep of the mountain and need to go there. Mark is surprise to hear that it was place in an enchanted place located in the city. Mirasol inform him that those who live there are considered higher ranks so the place they live surrounds with power. The guys decided to take shelter first in local restaurant and Mark wants to drink some liquor but Mirasol ask for their money and the guys realized that they have never seen a kind of money that the land used. Having no money in their pocket the guys flash their beautiful smiled to Mirasol and the lady knows already about her responsibility to the boys and sigh on her fate in defeat.

The guys eats and taste the best food of the town and it was night time when they decided to take a rest. Mirasol told them that her money left a little because of their experience. Mark realized that those town they been to, it was the only place that people still live in peace but Mirsaol correct him stating that the place is guarded by immortals but has a front of being peaceful but being one of them she can tell that they live in worried.

A group of men came and Mirasol recognized them as a palace guard and hurriedly hide with the guys. They listen as they chat and realized that it was Yuki they been talking about, the other guy comment on her poor condition and Henry realized the suffering agitated by it but Mark stop him.

In the dark side of the jail where Yuki is been kept, Abel confront her and ask for the other stone but she remain silent and the guy is angered by her reaction wanted to punish her in front of public the next day.
