Rescued or under new control?
In an exact grid pattern, tall buildings loomed over me in the crimson moonlight as I hurried by the various shops to get to my place of work, a bar near the outskirts of central Hell. Concealing my identity by pulling a hood over my head, I felt numerous eyes lay on my figure from behind, the feeling of paranoia etching away at my thoughts.
Hastily whipping my head round with great speed; I was confused to find no demon standing there, only a seemingly damaged security camera zooming in on me. As soon as it noticed I was staring at it, it changed its focus to an unimportant scratch in the pavement as if avoiding my gaze. Odd.
Shaking the feeling but inevitably failing, I continued my journey to my workplace, occasionally peering into shops, which most of them were ransacked, and watching short snippets of TV shows displayed on the televisions. This all felt very odd, performing such a mundane activity caused such calamity in my mind, feeling as if something or someone was watching. Always watching.
I examined the televisions with much detail, attempting to decide if something was truly amiss or I was just unreasonably worried. Suddenly, a glare was reflected in the TV, I could just about discern an outline of a demon, one with a head resembling a television with a small top hat resting on it and a long overcoat. No other demon who watching the television noticed this detail, but before I could comment on its appearance, it seems to slither out of the piece of technology.
Being so absolutely done with whatever this was, I, albeit sulkily, made my way to my workplace whilst trying to make sense of the previous occurrence.
Arriving at the bar, I was greeted with the same harsh demeanour as always, being belittled in front of the customers that had gathered in the entrance by my boss.
'So what's the excuse this time sweet cheeks?' She grasped my cheek in a derogatory manner, making me feel much like a child.
Jerking my head away and repositioning my hair/hood, I pushed past her to complete my duties, not giving a single fuck what she thought.
'How dare she.. does she not understand how difficult my life..' I questioned my choice of words, continuing with a forced laugh of pure hatred for the shrivelled woman I called my boss. 'Well she wouldn't understand would she? She hasn't got an ounce of humanity left in her..'I slung the rubbish bag over my shoulder, heading behind the building to dump it in the repulsive dumpsters.
'She's behind Aalina's Bar in an alleyway, take care of her, gentlemen.'
Kicking aside some debris on the side of the badly maintained pavement, I hastily threw the rubbish bag into the dumpster, cleaning my hands against my grubby apron.
I heard some rumbling behind me, the shift of atmosphere becoming extremely prominent as I turned to confront the mysterious noises, a cloth being forced against my mouth, my hands being restrained behind my back.
'Now now, calm down doll, our client will hurt us if we lose such a darling like you, such a precious human', the sinister figure said, the last word being said with such hatred as if poison dripped from his clause.
My breath became ragged and hitched as I felt my oxygen supply being cut off, perhaps some drowsy substance in that blasted cloth, as I fought to keep my consciousness as well as attempting to get the multiple hands off of me and scream a muffled cry. My limbs slowed down its movements, fatigue gripping hold of me.
A sudden movement caught my eye, using my last ounce of strength to look over at another figure, just entering the scene. It seemed to have arrived through a security camera opposite, its figure beginning to emerge when it came from the piece of technology. He bore quite a similar look to the demon that was featured in the glare I saw in the TV earlier, even to the point of the top hats being identical and the unmissable television head, I couldn't make out too much of his features, unconsciousness already taking a toll on me, only seeing shadows as the scene progressed.
'What are you two gentleman with that girl?' The figure practically snarled, approaching the scene. One of the demons that held me captive, removed his grasp on my hands as he deemed me as too helpless to even attempt to escape, he faced the newly arrived figure, he puffed his chest out to assert his dominance over the situation.
This had no effect however, as the TV demon threw the 'insignificant' demon to the side into a neighbouring wall, a large crack being presented in its wake. The demon that held the cloth over my mouth opted to make a run for it after witnessing what this mysterious figure was capable of, but not before being gripped by the neck and meeting the wall in the same way as his buddy.
The shadows seemed to fade after that, colours of the city blurring into a doleful grey as I felt my legs give way, drowsiness finally having me in its grasp, when arms caught me just before I was about to hit the ground.
(Vox's POV)
My arms reached out, catching the unconscious Y/N, bringing her body up to view as I held her in a bridal hold. My clawed nails wrapped around her figure perfectly, taking care as to not damage her soft skin. The skin I longed to touch ever since I saw her.
Exhaling deeply, I raised a finger to her cheek, stroking the rosy surface, a strand of hair fell over her face, concealing part of her beautiful lips, as I brushed it away gingerly.
A sweet smile planted on my lips as I made my exit, the demons that 'attacked' Y/N scampering away pathetically, I licked my lips, my sharp teeth grazing the surface, bathing in their misery and Y/N's presence. No demon dared to approach me, no demon even dared to challenge me with quizzical looks as to why I was holding a mere human and why a human would have any interest to me.
Well, she did hold great interest to me.
Opening the door to my house, I gave a small nod to my lowly servants to signify they can perform their daily duties since I have arrived after my little 'mission'.
Placing Y/N in my bed, I pulled the covers over her, Y/N's head peaking out just above the covers as I whispered sweet words to her and softly placed a kiss on her forehead. Waiting for her wake, I opted to sitting in a chair by her bedside when my phone started buzzing, sighing angrily, I departed from the room to take the call.
'Adequate job today gentlemen, I shall provide the payment for today's deed, I must say the acting was rather aver- oh you want to know what happened to Y/N? She's right here, she's in safe hands, my hands.
I hung up on them, oh this was going to be fun.
Author's Note:
Also in case you didn't catch on, one of Vox's power's is that he can manipulate technology, I sort of made it so he could morph into them and control them.Again thank you @Ruqayyahhh_101 for requesting, I had a lot of fun thinking up the story with this one haha. But sorry if it wasn't quite as yandere as you would of liked, I just couldn't think of a plot that wouldn't be so difficult to read.
