(Lucifer's POV)

Stretching my legs out on the sofa, I adjusted my ivory blazer as I grasped the remote control, switching to the news to see what chaos reigned after the extermination. Lilith was sitting next to me, her head resting on my shoulder as she checked her sharp nails.

Katie began her usual spiel, Tom's introduction being brutally stomped on by the blonde newswoman. My focus was redirected to an insignificant pencil on the table, fumbling with it until a particular sentence got my attention.

'A demon that annihilated the exterminators? Odd.' I remarked, Lilith perking up at my words.

We watched on to see this slightly small demon, who seemed to have just died and of quite a young age, Lilith stirred with interest as it showed the mysterious newcomer slaughtering an entire group of the lowlifes.

'She would be quite a useful addition.' Lilith began, 'and she couldn't overthrow us since we'll have cared for her and shit.'

'I believe it's time to be good monarchs and adopt a poor defenceless child.'

Summoning my hoard of loyal servants, I ordered that one of them broadcast a message for the whole city using the loudspeakers and the news media to try and locate this demon.

They hummed in response, scrambling off to fulfil their duty; we looked back at the television, awaiting the release of our announcement.

'Oh, we seem to be getting new information!' She said, pushing the demon she was just interviewing out of his seat to address the new details she received.

'Lucifer and Lilith have just issued an official announcement to hunt down and capture the demon mentioned in the prior clip. Oh and she has to be captured alive.' She noticeably said the last clause in a dull tone of voice.

'There's a prize to whoever catches her!' Tom commented, the same enthusiasm in his voice.

'And what is that Tom?'

'Not being thrown in the dungeons and being tortured for all eternity!'

'You hear that? So get capturing!' Katie yelled, 'if we don't capture her we'll probably all be thrown in the dungeons and I can't get my hair messed up - I just had it done and-' the news broadcast abruptly ended, without letting Katie finish her sentence, an absolute shame.

I lounged around my palace, awaiting the demon's arrival; after quite a long time, I started to get agitated.

'Why hasn't she been captured yet?' I paced up and down my living quarters, Lilith attempting to reassure me.

'Don't worry honey, she'll be soon, she can't outrun the whole population.'

'I want her here now. If I have to do it myself so be it.'

I strode out of the room, not heeding Lilith's advice as I raced down the stairs to the entrance of my palace. Summoning my wings, I wrapped them around me in a regretful thought; I shook the uneasy feeling as my wings flapped simultaneously, taking flight.

While flying, I hoped to be able to spot and locate her by the sheer amount of chaos she left in her wake, making it easy to tell where she'd been. To no avail, I took out my phone, browsing the locations she had recently been seen at, gauging where she most likely was. She seemed to be in an abandoned part of town, along the outskirts of central Hell; I made my way there, observing the maze of meandering streets. A section of a building, that was nearly reduced to rubble at this point, emitted a painful scream.

I swooped down low, my wings tucking behind me as I crouched behind some debris near where I assumed the shriek came from. There she was.

She was in the process of torturing another demon that dared attempt to capture her, further supporting my point that these sinners couldn't do a thing. Inconspicuously, I retrieved my staff, running my fingers along the edges of the apple positioned on top of it as it started glowing a flaming red.

The luminosity got her attention, dividing her attention from ripping the demon apart to the area of which it was coming from. With a flex of her tentacle, she ripped the plaster of the building up, revealing my current state. She growled at my presence, preparing her other tentacles for yet another easy battle.

Grasping my staff, I pointed it at her, it enclosed her in a crimson bubble, rendering her powers useless as she pounded on the surface, her tentacles flailing everywhere in a desperate attempt to escape.

I leaned down to her level,
'Now now darling, don't be alarmed, I just need to suspend you so we can talk.'

'Talk about what?' She backed up against the bubble.

'I have a proposition for you.'
