Air pushed against my face, constricting my throat so severely that my breath became scarce as I hurtled downwards at a remarkable speed. My body was misshapen, my limbs of unorthodox proportions. The fall felt suffocating, threatening me with the meet of ground as the void kept going.

The inevitable fall hit me, making contact with the crimson surface; an immense pain emitting from all my joints. I groaned slightly, the pain ceasing as I sat up, noise was all around me, reminiscent of screams. A familiar sensation struck my hand, raising my hand, flipping it over multiple times, it seems as if I retained my normal human appearance, I realised my hand was drenched in that dreaded liquid - blood.

A spear narrowly missed me, poised just by my leg. Looking up, an ominous figure loomed over me; its body was inky black, horns twisted at magnificent angles. Its features were glowing white, a cross placed over its left eye with a horrifying, stitch like smile.

The thing retrieved another spear, seemingly from thin air, aiming at me with great efficiency. Before he was able to deliver the final blow, I jumped into action, albeit rather delayed, sprinting as fast as my withered limbs could take me as I ducked behind a run down building.

'She's an easy target, go finish her off.' A muffled voice commented, slightly sneering at the thing that was hunting me down.

My breath became heavy, occasionally wheezing for the speed I came running as I covered my mouth. The building I was in looked to be some sort of abandoned shop, crushed shelves along the edges and dysfunctional cash registers. Raiding what was left of the supplies to help get out of this situation, alas, there was nothing of use to me. I went behind the cash register, my foot stumbling upon something of questionable texture, looking down, there was a decaying body under my foot. I recoiled, my brain fretting at the sight, there was a pool of blood underneath the corpse, it slowly fading away.

The smell was repulsive as it engulfed my senses, invading my rational thoughts.

It drove me crazy.

My nostrils flared as I inhaled the odour; my horns starting to grow and my multiple legs emerging from my lower half - transforming into my monster.

I peeked through one of the numerous broken windows, the thing passing the corner where I was hidden, looking around to try and locate me.

I say try, well, he found me.

But not for long.

One of my tentacles stabbed the pathetic bastard in an instant, it not having enough time to react before its body was rendered useless as I threw it on the ground. I thrust its own weapon into its chest, blood gushing onto the badly maintained pavement, staining it scarlet. It managed to scream out in pure pain, its shriek piercing the surreal atmosphere.

Incomprehensible speech was heard following the scream, coming from the opposite direction, I predicted it was its companions. I stayed leaning over the body, my hand clutching the spear, hastily pulling it out of its chest as I ran my nails along the blade, blood smearing on my index finger.

The troop of things noticed me by now, staring in awe as the rather monstrous creature licked the blood in one smooth motion. One of the things at the back, made the first move, charging towards me, its spear already pulled back in attack.

But it was quickly dealt with, jumping on top of an nearby building, falling down it slowly with aid from my sharpened tentacles. The rest of my legs reached out, at an alarming speed, at the thing, toppling it swiftly and suffering the same second death as his comrade before it.

I flashed an innocent smile to the crowd of the things and the various demons that were observing the scene from their windows; the things started to plough through the debris on the street, brandishing their spears.

Launching at them, I ripped through their skulls with my claws, the things letting out a horrifying screech before they fell; I rammed their weapon down their head and along their stomach. Progressively, they started to fade away, only dust remaining, to the other things' horror. Others met their second death by my tentacles, basic but quite painful as blood splattered against every wall of neighbouring buildings.

Soon, they were all nothing but debris to add to the ground.

I threw back my head as I returned to my human like form, trying to rid myself of the blood on my clothes. To no avail, I opted to look around the place; hoping that having blood splatters didn't seem too odd.

The streets were deserted, which gave me a chance to look around, abandoned buildings lined the streets as I kicked some lone pieces of rubble. I assumed I was in Hell, in what I guessed was the centre of the city, there was a large tower with a clock in the shape of a pentagram on it, the counter was set at 0.

Suddenly, I heard a shrill voice behind me, turning around to combat the source, I realised it was a television, that barely managed to operate due to the sheer amount of cracks it had. A logo reading '666 News' flashed on the screen, a small theme song playing before a chipper blonde woman appeared. She was sat at a desk with a man with a gas mask, a rather peculiar sight, as they began to tell the events of this day.

'Good afternoon, I'm Katie Killjoy!' She said.
'And I'm Tom Trench!' The gas mask demon added before shuffling a cluster of papers.

'The extermination has finished and now, we have a juicy story for you, sinners! We managed to capture footage of a new demon that completely annihilated the exterminators - a simply amazing feat!' The screen showed a poorly recorded video of me murdering the 'exterminators' as Katie called them.

'Must I say, this was a very impressive performance! Maybe the overlords will have some competition!' Tom hinted.

Oh they will.
