Once in a Lifetime

Regina and I are on our way to the doctor's office to confirm if she's pregnant. I'm honest I'm scared as hell. A kid is a lot of responsibility. I just turned 20 and now I'm going to be a parent. We finally arrived at the doctor's office. We sign in and wait for our name to be called. "Regina Mills" we stand up and head into the room. "Hello Grant, We'll be doing a urine and blood test today, and then we will call for the results. If you are pregnant then we'll schedule an appointment to get an ultrasound."

"Perfect." They took Regina's blood and she was squeezing my hand the whole time. She absolutely hates needles they freak her out. After Regina was done with the test we left the doctor's office.

"Now we wait I guess, I'm hungry what do you want to do about lunch," I ask hoping she doesn't say Granny's

"We can go to Granny's I'm craving burgers".

"Wow, the health nut is eating greasy food. You are definitely pregnant babe." We get to Granny's and order our food. Just talking about the baby and how we are going to move in together. I'm honestly just zoned out. I'm just staring into Regina's eyes just trying to find a way to tell her I hate living here. Now with this baby on the way I honestly think it's pointless to tell her. I don't want to start an argument. After we finish our food we go to Regina's house and get ready for bed.

"Are you excited about the baby?"

"Of course I am. I can't wait for our little peanut to be here." I say rubbing her stomach. After a few minutes Regina fell asleep but I just couldn't fall asleep. There was just so much stuff on my mind. I got out of bed and I got in my car to drive to the boat. When I get there I get on and untie the boat. The sky and the water just seem to calm me down. All the worries and stress just melt away. I end up falling asleep in the cabin.

The next morning

I woke up to 30 missed calls from Regina "Shit I forgot to go back to the house." I called her back and getting ready to get yelled at

"Emma where the hell are you!? You just leave in the middle of the night and don't tell me or answer your phone."

"I'm sorry Regina I didn't know I was going to leave it just happen."

"You didn't know! Emma what the fuck is wrong with you. I can't believe that you would do this to me. You had me worried about you all morning. I can't be stressed right now and you know that."

"I know I'll explain when you get home."

"Are you going to work?"

"No, I just need a day to clear my head ok?"

"Ok just come home I need you.'' The day passes by and I drive back to the house to explain to Regina about how I hate the town and my job. She was shocked and understanding about it and said that we can take everything step by step. Her phone rings and it's the doctor. "I hate to call you so late but I have the results back and you are indeed pregnant."

"Thank you, doctor."She hangs up the phone and looks at me. "Well we're officially parents," she says with a big smile on her face. I walk up to her and put one hand on my stomach and the other on her cheek. I give her a soft kiss on her delicious lips. "Well, I guess we are."
