Once in a Lifetime

New Town

I'm driving into a new town Storybrooke, Maine for a new job. I have accepted the position as the new Sheriff. It's a small town way different from the big city of New York. I drive past the city line Welcome to Storybrooke the sign says. "I wonder what it's like to live here," I question.

I drive to my new house. It's pretty nice. It's a black, two-story, four-bedroom, and three-bathroom house. I'm hoping to stay here for a while, that's why I got a house instead of an apartment.

It's late and I'm feeling a little hungry so I get back in my car and drive around to see what there is to eat around here. I find this place called Granny's "old school diner cool." I walk in and I'm greeted by a pretty brunette waitress

"Hey welcome to Granny's I'm Ruby what can I get you," She asked.

"I'll have a cheeseburger with fries and a coke please," I say.

"Sure thing coming right up." She comes back a few minutes later and sets my food and drink down in front of me "Here you go, hey you don't look familiar are you new." She asked.

"Yeah the name's Emma Swan I'm the new Sheriff," I say.

" Oh well nice to meet you, Sheriff Swan."

"You can call me Emma," I say.

"Oh well ok enjoy your food if you need anything just ask."

"Thanks," I say.

I start to eat my food and I hear the door open. I turn my head to see a beautiful Latina with amazing jet black hair walking in. She had on a black button-up long sleeve dress shirt with a black pencil skirt and black heels. She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. She sits down next to me and says.

"Ruby can I get my usual please." The woman asked.

"You got it Ms.Mills coming right up," Ruby replied. The Latina turns her head towards me and gives me an innocent smile. "Hello," I say.

"Hello, are you new to town? I haven't seen you before?"

"Yes I'm new to town, the name's Emma, Emma Swan."

"My name's Regina Mills. It's nice to meet you," She says.

Ruby puts her food down in front of her. "Here you go Ms.Mills enjoy."

"Thank you, Ruby."

"So Ms.Swan where are you coming from," She asked.

"You can call me Emma and I'm coming from New York."

"Wow what a big jump that made you come here," she asked.

"I just wanted to settle down for a bit."

"Oh do you have kids," she asked.

"Oh no, I'm way too young to have kids in my opinion what about you?" I ask.

"No, I don't have any kids." She chuckles.

"You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. I'm sorry to be so blunt." She laughs.

"No need to apologize thank you, you are very attractive yourself."She smirks. I laugh "Well thank you very much, Ms.Mills."

"Regina you can call me Regina," she says.

"Ok that's a very beautiful name for a beautiful woman" I smirk

"Why thank you Emma" she smiles and our hands inch closer to each other just millimeters apart when Ruby comes with our bill "Here you guys go have a nice night." She smiles.

I give her a nice tip and start to get up and leave "We should do this again tomorrow I would love to see you again." She chuckles

"How about breakfast tomorrow at eight here."

"That sounds amazing can I get your number to please," I asked feeling very nervous.

"Sure," she says. I pull out my phone and she puts her number in.

"Can I walk you to your car please?" I ask.

"Sure I would love that." I walk her to her car.

"Thank you I'll see you tomorrow." She waves.

"See ya." I get into my car and drive home. I open the door and walk to the master bedroom. I take off my shoes and clothes till I'm in my boxers. I fall asleep thinking about Regina. I can't wait for tomorrow.
