~ Hana's POV ~
"Ughhh my hair's so annoyinggg!!!"
Slamming my fork down onto the table, I irritably snatched my hair-tie from my wrist and secured my long, irksome hair into a ponytail to prevent it from falling again and getting into my food.
Aeri, who was observing me with a pitiful expression from across the lunch table, suggested out of the blue, "Why don't you just cut it?"
Lifting my fork once again, I stabbed an octopus-shaped mini sausage from the container in front of me and answered her, "I'm so used to my long hair now and I'm too scared to cut it short."
"Who knows, you might look prettier with a short hairstyle. You never know until you try Hana." she made a persuasive point, taking a bite from her ham and cheese sandwich.
"I don't know..." I began to contemplate, gradually inserting my sausage into my ajar mouth as I weighed out the pros and cons in my head.
"Oh my god, you should totally surprise Taehyung with it." Aeri thought of an scheme, scooting her butt closer to mine as if we were about to discuss a secret mission.
"What do you mean?" I asked for a coherent explanation, and she whispered exuberantly, "I'm saying, you should show up to school one day with a completely different hairstyle without telling your precious boyfriend. He's gonna freak out!"
"What if he gets mad? What if-"
Shushing me immediately with her index finger, Aeri reassured confidently, "Hana, he's your boyfriend. He's supposed to love you and find you pretty no matter what."
Wrapping an arm around my body with great enthusiasm, she guaranteed, "Don't worry, he's gonna love it."
Right at that moment, Taehyung emerged from his group of friends and approached our table with a burrito in his hand, somehow resembling a male model strutting down a runway.
"Speaking of the devil..." Aeri gagged disgustedly as she moved back to her original seat, always having a love-hate friendship with my boyfriend.
"What're you girls talking about?" Taehyung swiftly sat beside me and questioned, sneaking a brisk but affectionate peck on my cheek.
"None of your business." Aeri unnecessarily showed an attitude, of course instigating an unneeded argument between the two archenemies.
Wobbling his food at Aeri's eye level, Taehyung threatened dauntlessly, "You know, I can just throw this burrito right at your face-"
"There will be no burritos being thrown at anyone today. I just want to have a nice lunch for once without you guys somehow managing to start a fight about absolutely nothing." I cut him off and desisted the avoidable food fight that was about to start.
Laughing at my pouty face, Taehyung delicately patted my head and stated, "I'm just kidding. I actually bought this for you Aeri."
"What? Why?" my best friend queried in bemusement, unable to believe the fact that he was actually being a generous friend towards her.
"It was the last chicken burrito left, and I know how much you love them, so I got it for your fat ass." Taehyung gave a logical explanation, once again bringing it closer to her to hand it over.
"Did you just call me a-"
"Hey hey hey, at least he's being nice to you for once?" I attempted to make Aeri face the brighter side of his stupid comment, just so I can preclude any more verbal clashing between them.
Finally accepting the burrito, she egotistically approved, "You're forgiven."
Letting out a scoff along with a discontented roll of his eyes, Taehyung berated, "Ungrateful."
Annoyedly but sheepishly, Aeri muttered an embarrassed "T-Thanks," as if she was a little girl being forced to admit her wrongdoing.
I couldn't help but release a chuckle, experiencing déjà vu from such a familiar scene that has happened to myself before.
They somehow reminded me of a love-hate friendship that I personally share with a certain someone.

"Jungkook!"
Being awoken from his tranquil slumber by my powerful slam against his desk which he had his head down on, Jungkook jumped in his seat and panicked extremely, "H-Huh? W-What?"
"Come on sleepy head. School's over." I said as I gestured him to get up while the students passing around us sent him strange, castigating looks for his psycho-like reaction.
"You could've woken me up with a kiss on the cheek rather than giving me a heart attack like that." Jungkook yawned, casually making idiotic jokes like always.
"In your dreams you pervert." I circulated my eyes in revulsion, walking back to my seat to pack up my belongings to leave.
But stopping myself midway, I wordlessly thought about something for a moment, then slowly twirled around to face Jungkook.
"Hey Kookie?"
"Hm?" he offhandedly responded while stretching his entire body in his chair.
"What kind of hairstyles do guys prefer on girls?" I questioned reservedly, presuming I should get an actual male's opinion before doing what Aeri alluded to earlier today.
"Bald." Jungkook answered me in an instant, without any hint of hesitation or deliberate thought.
"I'm being serious." I interlaced my arms in slight exasperation, just wanting a simple word as a reply and not more of his superfluous joking.
Getting a haircut is a pretty big deal for most girls, and so I just really needed his honest notions during this consultation.
"Why're you asking?" he asked as he ran his fingers through his silken, tawny hair.
"Just curious." I shrugged, my arms still intertwined while I waited.
"Uhmmm..." Jungkook trailed off as he actually put his thinking cap on this time, then stated in all candidness, "Well, I personally like short hair on girls. I think it's really attractive."
Receiving just the right incentive and determination I needed, I excitedly zipped up my bag and wore it on my back.
"Alright, thanks Kookie!"
With that, I hurriedly dashed out of the classroom and exited the school with one destination in mind: the nearest hair salon.
