"Where the hell did he go?" I grumbled with unease as I searched for Jungkook, wrapping up my pursuit in the house and now proceeding with my hunt to the backyard.

"Jung- OH MY GOD!!!" I screamed frantically as I spotted his motionless body lying on the grass, his large back faced towards me.

Darting to where he was, I knelt down beside him called out full of fright, "Hey! Hey! Are you-"

"Mmmm..." Jungkook moaned in annoyance with his eyes still shut, technically telling me to shut up in his sleep and adjusting his position so he could get a better slumber.

"Psh, I just wasted 30 seconds of my time worrying about you." I interlaced my arms bitterly as I scowled at him snooze peacefully.

Remembering my purpose of seeking for him, I sighed in displeasure and humiliation at the thought of having to apologize to this jerk.

"I'm just gonna say what I have to say while you're asleep so I don't have to die of embarrassment again." I whispered in the lowest volume possible so I wouldn't rouse the monster, and then began my apology.

"I'm sorry for making fun of you and calling you dumb. I didn't know your studies were such a big deal to you, and I shouldn't have said that."

But right as I was about to get up and run away, the sleeping beast opened his mouth to speak.

"If you give me a hug I'll forgive you."

"... What?" I stared at him in bemusement, presuming he was merely sleep talking since his eyes were still closed.

But in a very, very slow motion, Jungkook revealed his black, marble-like pupils.

Before I could utter a single peep from my mouth, he tightly gripped the only arm that was supporting my upper body and yanked it towards him, causing me to inevitably collapse on top of his brawny chest

Before I could utter a single peep from my mouth, he tightly gripped the only arm that was supporting my upper body and yanked it towards him, causing me to inevitably collapse on top of his brawny chest.

Enveloping me with both his arms and burying my poor face into his cotton sweater, he declared haughtily, "You're forgiven."

Jungkook clothes smelled like my favorite laundry detergent, which was probably the only thing I actually liked about him.

Both shy and flustered by his unexpected hug, I hurriedly pulled away and acted as naturally as possible, "P-Psh, what are you, ten?"

"No, but I feel like every reconciliation needs to end with a hug." Jungkook stated as he repositioned his hands behind his head and serenely closed his eyes once again, completely unbothered.

I just sat criss-cross applesauce on the emerald grass, examining this peculiar creature in front of me and thinking to myself, "He is one strange guy."

But out of nowhere, the classic Marimba iPhone ringtone went off, making both of us jerk up in impulse.

Swiftly snatching his phone out of his pocket, Jungkook answered the call, "Ayo, what's up mom?"
