~ One year later ~
In the middle of the night, I sensed my eyebrows furrow on instinct from this aggravating sound of constant tapping on one of the old-fashioned sliding doors in my room.
Bemoaning as I rubbed my eyes sleepily while still snuggled-up in my futon, I sluggishly rolled out of my blanket and forced my eyelids to open, only to see that it was freaking 3 a.m. on my digital clock.
Raising my face to see who this disturbing visitor is, I immediately identified the individual as none other than Jeon Jungkook from the puffiness of his hair shown in his dark shadow on the translucent sheet of my door.
Crawling my way on all fours like a toddler but with the speed of a snail, I sat up on my knees about a foot away from the door and slid it open very slowly and noiselessly.
It was way easier to secretly open these types of doors compared to the one I had at my old house in Seoul, considering I didn't have to worry about the audible creaks and clicks it made being heard.
Jungkook was waiting for me with his hands stuffed in his pockets as usual and his knees strangely covered in dirt, possibly from climbing over the tall bamboo fence that encircles my grandmother's residence.
"What the hell are you doing here at three in the morning?!" I whispered loudly and angrily, loathing him for interrupting my dream of attending a thrilling concert of my favorite idol.
Invitingly holding his hand out towards me, he jerked his eyebrows in an upward motion and smirked enchantingly.
"Date?"
A sudden blast of déjà vu occurred as I remembered this same scene that took place over a year ago, but this time with zero nuisances and predicaments haunting neither of us.
"Give me two minutes." I said with an enlarging grin, then hurriedly rushed back inside to fix myself up before heading out.

"How much longer?" I asked curiously, ten minutes into gallivanting around countless paddy fields with itching grass everywhere I looked.
"Be patient." Jungkook directed with his gaze fixed straight ahead.
"Where are you taking me?" I questioned, having no clue what the journey's end might look like.
"You'll see." he answered, striding in a specific direction while I struggled to catch up with my unhelpfully short legs.
"Why is it-"
But before another word could leave my mouth, Jungkook crashed his lips onto mine spontaneously and silenced me, causing my body to frozenly tense up like a deer caught in the headlights.
Gradually breaking off the unforeseen kiss, he checked my speechless and stunned facial expression before nodding in satisfaction.
"That's better."
Despite dating him for over approximately a year now, his marshmallow-like lips never failed to tickle the inside of my stomach and make my cheeks burn up hotter than the summer sun.
Afterwards, I quietly followed behind Jungkook with my face angled downwards in bashfulness, but eventually bumped right into his stiff body.
As I perplexedly looked up at his halted, darkened back figure, he abruptly turned around and gazed down at me.
"I wanted to bring you here to show you this." he said as he pointed at something particular behind him, and I instantaneously fell in love the moment I laid eyes on the magnificent sight.
