I kept tossing and turning all night in my bed while I incessantly scrolled through my mundane feed on Instagram, unable to sleep due to what the principal said this morning replaying inside my head like a broken record.
"Jeon Jungkook, you're expelled from this school."
But I don't want him to leave.
I haven't even gotten the chance to holds hands with him in the halls, relish a nice lunch with him at the cafeteria, promenade in the park together after school, or do any of the quintessential high school couple things with Jungkook.
But while innumerable thoughts of my boyfriend infested my mind, his name surprisingly popped up on the screen of my iPhone followed by my obnoxious ringtone.
My heart skipped a beat from the fortuitous coincidence, and I hurriedly answered the call and positioned the phone on my ear.
"Hello?" I said in the quietest volume possible, considering my parents' room were directly adjacent to mine.
"Open your front door." Jungkook responded offhandedly, then hung up before I could even ask for more details.
Groaning silently at his burdensome demand, I forced myself to get up from my snug bed and tiptoed my way out of my room to the downstairs entrance.
The moment I hauled the door handle open, a cold, chilly breeze wafted into my residence and caused my entire body to shiver.
Jungkook stood there in the snowy weather clothed in a red and black Fila winter jacket, a gigantic, overjoyed smile exhibited across his face despite the wintry temperature outside.
"What're you doing here?" I whispered while hugging myself tightly, definitely astonished to find my boyfriend in front of my house at such a late time.
"I couldn't sleep, so I came to see the person who never fails to make me feel better." he shrugged both of his shoulders, as if this situation wasn't a strange occurrence at all.
"My god, you must be freezing." I worried as I noticed his cheeks, ears, and even the tip of his nose were bright vermillion like Rudolf the reindeer.
"Yeah I am, so get your ass over here already so we can go on a date." Jungkook encouraged casually as he jerked his head backward, inviting me to voluntarily freeze myself to death in the snowing environment.
"A-At two in the morning?!" I stuttered at his absurd proposal, wondering to myself whether my boyfriend had gone mad.
"Just a little stroll. Please?" he implored with an irresistible pout on his face, the enticing look in his stare making it even worse for my temptation.
"What if my parents find out I snuck out?! Are you crazy?!" I tried to focus on the possible negative outcome, especially because I've never done such thing in my lifetime.
"Don't worry, your mom loves me." he replied assuredly with his nose in the air, but I quickly let out a scoff and doubted him, "We'll see about that after she finds out you've kidnapped her daughter in the middle of the night."
"It's not considered kidnapping if you consent to it?" Jungkook continuously persuaded, now holding his hand out towards me for me to grasp.
"I don't really have a choice here do I." I giggled in surrender, tenderly placing my hand on top of his fluffy cotton glove.
"You know it." he grinned in contentment of successfully convincing me, then tugged me along to our spontaneous rendezvous.
