Nico was snuggled up against the blond, tired from his recent panic attack. As Nico was drifting off, Will stroking his hair, he thought about how nice it would be if people stopped asking them about it. But that would mean they had to tell everyone. And that - in Nico's mind - was the worst possible thing they could do. What if Will had second thoughts? And then everyone would know either way, and he wouldn't get a say in it.Will hummed to himself and Nico as he felt the boy drift off. Would he want to tell people? Probably not, but he knew that it would make his panic attacks lessen. It wasn't like he was going to toss him in the trash two seconds later. Will wasn't like that, and he loved Nico too much to ever even think of doing that.
"I love you," he whispered. He meant it. Every time.
~~time skip~~
The next morning, Nico woke up alone. He was so used to having Will beside his, even though they had only been dating for a week. He couldn't deny he was disappointed, even though that sounded so, so needy. Nico cursed himself. 'Quit acting like you need every second of the day!' the voice in his head shouted.
"I don't need him every second of the say, but that doesn't mean I don't want him..." Nico muttered, unknowingly aloud. He probably needed to go to breakfast, but, like usual, he wasn't hungry.
Will had gone into his own cabin after Nico had fallen asleep. He didn't want to seem creepy or clingy. He would still visit him in morning, to make sure he ate, and just to see him. He quickly dressed and made his way toward Cabin 13.
~~~~~~
Nico was sitting cross-legged in a hidden alcove in his wall- close to roof. It was cozy, and helped him think, so he was fine with how high it was. At the moment, he was thinking about what he should be doing instead of hiding in roof: going to breakfast. And currently, he was arguing with himself about the same topic.
'But I'm not hungry.'
'But Will will be there...'
'But that'll make me seem clingy, won't it?'
'You're his boyfriend, you're allowed to spend time with him.'
'But that would be in public, and I don't want people to know.'
'You know he's going to make you eat, right?'Nico sighed. 'Yeah...'
~~~~~~
Will had knocked several times. No answer. 'He must be asleep...' he thought. Well, breakfast was in 5 minutes, so he should probably wake him up.
"Nico? Love?" He whispered, walking in. "You gotta get up. It's breakfast. I'm not gonna shove food down your throat, just like... one piece of toast. And two grapes. That's it."
Nico wasn't in his bed. "Neeks? Darling? My love? Light of my life? Reason for living? Sunshine?" He rambled off more and more cheesy and loving nicknames, before he heard a soft laugh come from a high corner of the room.
"Nico?"
Nico giggled, a small smirk drawn across his face. "Hey Sunshine..." he called from his corner. He was sitting cross legged, propping his elbows up on his knees.
"What on earth were those pet names?" He asked, giggling sweetly. Nico hopped down, falling into a deep pool shadow on the floor and teleporting out of the wall, walking towards his boyfriend.
"Hey! Two weeks! The rules were not changed!" Will said playfully.
"The nicknames," he said, taking Nico's hand, "are the way I think of you, light of my life." He pecked Nico on the cheek.
"Will you please go to breakfast?"
Nico rolled his eyes affectionately, letting out an over exaggerated sigh.
"Do I have to...?" He pleaded, being an introvert and wanting to avoid social interaction at all costs. He wasn't even hungry!
Will softly smiled. "No... I'd like it if you did, but I won't force you. I will, however, force you to eat at least one grape! Ok? I'll be back with grapes and my undying love! Bye!"
He swept out the door, hearing Nico chuckle before he shut the door.
