When Nico woke up, he was cold.'Why did I fall asleep, it's just getting dark now...' he thought. He was, like always, alone, but on the upside, he hadn't had a single nightmare. When was the last time that had happened? Like 4 years ago.
Will, being merciless in his sleep, had taken the entire blanket. He woke up at the sound of Nico waking up.
He quickly sat up, and shared the blanket. He felt Nico startle slightly, and he intertwined their fingers. He felt Nico's breath on his neck, and he hugged him close. Nico just needed to not see anyone right know, and he knew it.
Nico melted, snuggling into Will, the feeling of his boyfriends arms wrapped around him comforting him as he fell back asleep, for the first time in forever not having a single nightmare to the time Will woke him up for dinner.
Will pulled Nico to the Apollo table, not letting him sit alone after having a panic attack. He loudly made an excuse about 'Nico's fading heightening' and sat down.
Nico ate quietly, and not much, as per usual. Will noticed and gave him a bundle of grapes he had grabbed.
"You don't need to eat all of them, just some. Like I said, you're worryingly thin," he said, trying to crack a joke as he handed the fruit to him. Nico took it, and to Will's delight, ate a few.
He swiftly and sneakily kissed him. "Thank you, darling."
Nico flushed a dark shade of red, anxiously fidgeting with the hem of his shirt. He scooched closer to his boyfriend. They got to leave soon. Dinner was almost over.

There were some new campers. There was almost always at least one. There was an Aphrodite girl, a Hephaestus boy, and a Hecate girl. The Hecate girl, Jayln, walked over.
"Aren't you supposed to be at the Hades table?" she asked, hand on hip. Will used his fading excuse, but she wasn't convinced.
"Suuure. Come with me." She took Nico's arm. "If you need someone to watch you, don't sit at a crowded table. I can." She raised an eyebrow at him, a smirk plastered on her face, and started to walk off with Nico, her hips swaying a bit more than was normal.
He pulled away from her, panic dancing in his eyes. "N-no thanks, I'm good..." he muttered, trying to make his way back to Will.
She pulled him along. "No, no. It's way too crowded over there. He won't notice if you start to fade. I will." She linked their arms. "Plus, I'm new to camp. Maybe you can show me around later?"
Nico pulled away, detaching her arm from his.
"That's not my job, it's your head counselor's," he replied sharply. Nico was trying to keep his composure, but inside his head, he was panicking. 'How the Hades am I supposed to respond to this?!'
She backed away slightly at his aggression. "Relax, honey. It's alright. I just wanted to get to know you."
She missed the death glares she was getting from the Aphrodite table.
Will stood and walked over to them. "I appreciate your help, but I am the head doctor, and the only one who can easily and quickly notice when Nico fades. So thank you again, but I think it's time you go back to your table."
Nico smiled at Will gratefully, standing next to him.
Standing close to him.
Very close to him. Hopefully Jayln would take the hint.
She raised an eyebrow. "Really? Name the chemical mixture in the brain that creates love."
Will laughed. "Easy. Serotonin, dopamine, and oxytocin."
Jayln's jaw dropped.
Will continued. "You can ask anyone in this camp. Say you're hurt. They'll say 'Get Will. It's Will. Will, you know? The blond?'"
He wrapped his arm around Nico, and walked back towards his table.
