Shout out to the Old me and everything he showed me

Jack rubbed a picture, smiling. It was an old photo of him and his boyfriend. He had been cleaning the attic since his son, Alex, was moving in. He pressed a kiss to the picture and placed the picture in the wrapping it was in, setting it down in a box. He smirked, laughing slightly when the memory of Zach and him being 'rebels' came to mind. He and Zach had snuck out of their homes and met up. Their parents were very pissed off. On the bright side, Jack learned some valuable lessons. Such as, don't listen to your parents.

Glad you didn't listen when the world was tryna slow me

The image of his parents yelling at him when he came out as gay to them also fogged his mind. They had disowned him and kicked him out. Jack had ran away to Zach's house. Since then, every day at school, he'd be called a 'fag' or a 'freak.' It hadn't hurt Jack though. He'd laughed at the words. He was happy to be a 'fag'. He was happy to date the weird loner. Very happy.

No one could control me

"Jack! You can't keep going out late at night and expect me not to worry!" Zach hollered.

"I'm sorry, babe. I needed to run some errands!"

"How do I know your not cheating!?"

"Because you've known me since we were kids. I hated cheaters!"

"People change. It seems that you have too. You're always drinking!"

"That doesn't mean I'd cheat!"

"I'm having difficulties believing you, Babe."

Left my lovers lonely

"Where are you going?" Zach whimpered, tears streaming down his face. The very sight hurt Jack. But he had to stay mad. He was angry at Zach. He had to.

"Out."

"B-but- J-jack! Don't l-leave me!" Zach cried out.

"Whatever." Jack snapped, he stormed out of the house, slamming the door shut. The second the door closed, Jack fell to his knees, sobbing. Why? Why was everything so hard?

He felt a warm hand on his shoulder.

"Jack..." Zach whispered. Jack glanced up at him

Had to fuck it up before I really got to know me.

"I'm not the same person, Zach!" Jack cried. "I'm not! Ever since mom and dad kicked me out, nothing's been the same! I have these thoughts...and they happen so often...a-and ... I don't wanna live anymore." He sobbed. Zach crouched down and pulled the older into his chest, letting him muffled his sobs through his shirt.

"What do I do?" Jack whispered. Zach sighed and tightened his grip around Jack.

"Things will get better, buddy. I promise, okay, hun?"

Jack nodded sadly.

Never a night alone anywhere you wanna go

Jack was at a party with Zach. And boy, were there a lot of people. It seemed that lately, there had been so many parties and places he had to go to. He barely got time to himself!

"Hey there, Jack." A girl with red lipstick and a low-cut dress. "I'm Darlene."

Woke up in the morning wearin' someone else's clothes.

"What have I done..." Jack whispered to himself. He was hiding in the bathroom, crying...again. Darlene had kissed him...and he kissed back. But it felt so...wrong. What if Zach found out? He'd hate him! Jack stood up from the floor when he heard rapping on the door.
