Graduation

Mitch looked at the outfits he had on his bed. After a minute of thinking, he picked one up and put it on. He had to go to an interview before school. He wouldn't have time to change, so he needed to have an outfit that was in dress code.

Kirstin picked him up, and they got coffee and went to the interview.

The interviewer asked them all kinds of questions about graduation. Mitch and Kirstie answered vaguely, but they described how they felt as well as they could. Graduation was exciting, but they weren't going to get too excited. They were going to act calm. As calm as they could be expected to be, of course.

Then, the interviewer said, "Mitch, what are your plans with your partner after high school?"

They had discussed this. "Scotty's going to UCLA," Mitch said. "I'm going to L.A., so we're going to live together, the three of us and Ben. Scott will, of course, have a job, and Ben will continue working for us. Should we break up, he has some friends who will be living together. He can go to them if we have a bad breakup and no longer want to live together. So, that's our plan."

"And you'll keep doing what you've been doing?" the interviewer asked.

"Yes, we'll be able to focus more on our careers," Mitch agreed. "I'm going to record a solo album during that time. Hopefully it'll be soon. So, I'll do that, but otherwise, we'll continue what we've been doing, with less stress."

The interviewer laughed at that. Then, he continued asking various questions about their plans for the future.

Scott sat with the other graduating seniors, waiting to go across the stage. Ben was near him, and they kept looking at each other. If they were right next to each other, then they'd be holding hands. But they weren't, so they just comforted each other with smiles and looks of encouragement.

Scott looked up when Mason was called. He noticed his friend beaming at him, and smiled back. Mason had started dating Mark (who, of course, was Scott's ex), but they were still friends. Scott was proud.

He watched even more proudly as Mitch went up several minutes later, and noticed the look of joy. Wow, was he cute when he got excited.

Ben was the next friend of Scott's to go across the stage. His eyes scanned the people watching, and likely landed on Kirstin, because his smile grew suddenly. He looked so excited.

A few other people went, then Scott. As he walked shyly across the stage, he looked at Mitch. The singer had a look of love and adoration in his eyes, and Scott grinned at him. Mitch smiled back, and mouthed, I love you.

Scott went off the stage, and sat in the back with Ben, Mitch, and Mason.

Kirstie went a bit later, with both Avi and Mark going between them. Scott watched the other two boys eagerly, and they joined him, Mitch, Mason, and Ben. Mason kissed Mark's forehead and said he was proud.

Kirstie and Ben did the same thing Mitch and Scott had done on her turn, and he kissed her when she got to them. She then hugged Mitch, and they stood like that for a minute.

The pair looked at the stage again when Kevin was called. He walked across the stage, then went to the rest of them. Matt went a minute later, and joined them as well. Kevin watched the stage with the most adorable look of eagerness, like a puppy waiting for its owner to get home, and cheered excitedly when his girlfriend Leigh walked across the stage. She joined them, and smiled at Kevin. The couple shared a short, but tender kiss.

"Alright," Mitch said quietly. "That's all of us, so we can leave. We all have everything we need?"

"Yes," they all said.

"Good," Mitch whispered. "Now, let's go."

There were only a few people left, so they all hoped that no one was too offended by them leaving. They were going to take their cars and Mitch and Kirstin's tour bus to get to L.A., where they would live after this.

They all sat in the tour bus first, and texted their parents. Several people called their parents after texting. Scott winced when he heard Kevin's mom tell him off for not calling to tell her. He was holding the phone several inches away from his ear. But she calmed down, and was quieter then.

When they were all done contacting parents, Mitch rubbed his hands together.

"Alright!" the singer said eagerly. "Now, let's get ready to leave. Everybody, your luggage is in the luggage compartment. If you don't take all your stuff, Scott, Kirstie and I become the new owners of whatever you leave."

"Okay, Ms. Locker," Kevin said, and all of them started laughing.

They all took their luggage, and Mitch and Kirstie got in their cars. Scott, Matt, Mark, and Mason all stayed in the tour bus, with their luggage still where it had been before. They didn't have cars, so they were just in here. They would take turns driving some of their friends' cars when their friends got tired. They were going straight to L.A., and it was a long drive, so the others were bound to get tired of driving eventually.

Mitch drove silently, following the tour bus. He would eventually split off in a different direction, but for now, they were all going to the same place.

He could see who he thought was Mark in the back window, and noticed another person there. He frowned. Was that Scott? Cuddling with his ex?

They reached a red light, and Mitch grabbed his phone, texting Scott. He got an answer a few seconds later.

👑Queen Mitchie👑: Who are the people in the back window?

Scotty: Mark and Mason. Why?

👑Queen Mitchie👑: I was worried it was Mark and you. I thought one was Mark, but I couldn't tell if he was cuddling with you or Mason. Okay. Thank you!

Scotty: My paranoid sweetie.

👑Queen Mitchie👑: I am NOT paranoid!

Scotty: You're such a pouty little baby when I say these things. It's cute.

👑Queen Mitchie👑: I hope you understand that I hate you.

Scotty: 👶

👑Queen Mitchie👑: 😡

The light changed then, and the tour bus went forward. Mitch laughed, and put his phone down. He loved Scott, but he hated the teasing. That sort of thing was what made him wonder if they really did have a future together.

There will only be the epilogue after this. Other than that, the story is finished. I enjoyed this, and I hope the people who've made it this far liked it as much as me.
