A/N As I said at the end of the last chapter, I am not a medical professional so don't mind the medical nonsense I'll be attempting to put in the book.

I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Jasmine's POV

"Mate." He said, his eyes staring directly into mine.

Mate? This guy really thinks we're friends? Wow.

"Ok mate please remove your arm or I'll have to call security." I plastered a smile on my face, yanking my arm away with more force than I realised, the unexpected movement causing him to stumble slightly. I smoothed down my top and gathered myself.

"I am only going to say this one more time. I suggest you come back in the morning but you can wait. It's up to you. And you" I said turning to the man who had grabbed me, using this time to study his face further. He had smooth skin and thick ruffled hair of various shades of dark brown that made me want to run my hands through it. Snap out of it Jasmine!

"If you touch me again I will have you dragged out by security" I snapped, swiftly turning on my heel and heading towards the double doors, behind which the wards, hospital beds and the rest of hospital life lay.

As soon as I was out of sight of that group, I leaned against a nearby wall and sighed. Checking my watch the time read 11:12pm. It was going to be a long night. Two coffees and five patients later one of my colleagues, Garrett approached me.

"Hey Jas, didn't know you were working tonight." I looked up from my oh-so-interesting paperwork and smiled.

"Hi Garrett, I'm not supposed to be, just filling in for Jack. He's got that concert tonight." A look of realisation crossed his face.

"Ah right. Well anyways it was you who brought in that man, Tyler Maxwell, 6 foot male, deep gashes across the abdomen as well as bites all over the body" He read from his notes. I nodded. "I need you to come and see this." He motioned for me to follow him, keeping his eyes on his notes with a perplexed expression.

I furrowed my eyebrows but followed silently. We entered a room, where Tyler sat upright, flipping through a magazine without a care in the world. As he looked up at us a smile crept across his face.

"See doc? No hospital needed." He smirked at me.

"What?!" I couldn't help but exclaim. I turned to Garrett, my face trying desperately to reflect just how confused I was.

"This man was laying down and bleeding out on the road, barely able to talk. And now he seems as if he just fell off his bike and grazed his knee?" I was flabbergasted, there was no other word to describe it.

"Excuse us a moment" Garrett said as he guided me out of the room, closing the door behind him.

"What the actual fuck Garrett?" I wasted no time in asking him.

"That is exactly what I'm thinking. I was ready for a full blood transfusion, maybe even a transplant considering how deep the gashes were. I left him for 5 minutes on the operating table and by the time I came back, some of the gashes are healed and there's no flesh missing whatsoever. That was 30 minutes ago. And look at him now, he could probably walk out of here and be fine!" Garrett said in one big breath. We stood there for a bit, trying to contemplate what the hell was going on with this 'superhuman' patient.

"I want to keep him overnight for observation, or at least until my shift ends. I refuse to believe he's been magically healed up and is all fine." I said, breaking the silence. Garrett nodded at me, before adding to his notes and opening the door again.
