I'm going to try out a new POV this chapter so I hope you like it!

Alec's POV

"Rogues. Eastern border. Just deeper into the forest than main road" Tyler said through the mind link. I growled as I stood hunched over my desk. What is it with rogues recently?

"Do you need assistance?" I heard my Beta Jason reply through the mind link.

"I'm good. It ran away when it sensed me" I sighed. Tyler was my Gamma, my third-in-command, it made sense the rogue would leave after sensing his authority. I grabbed the map of my territory, adding an x to mark yet another rogue sighting. The 9th one this month. Rogues usually don't gather together like this, so to spot so many in such a short time was worrying. News of a rogue uprising was spreading like wildfire between packs across the country. One by one packs were being taken down by armies of rogues.

I ran my hands through my hair, frustrated. I was so fixated on the map that I didn't realise the marker had snapped in my hand until I saw the red ink bleed all over my hand. I cursed and grabbed a tissue, wiping it hard. A scream through the mind link put me on high alert.

"Tyler?" I yelled out, immediately leaving my office and heading to the Eastern border. I mind linked Jason and five warriors to come with me. Another scream made me shift into my large black wolf, my clothes ripping to shreds as I shifted. The others followed suit. I ran as fast as I could, reaching the border in minutes.

As I headed Tyler's last location the stench of blood filled the air along with a foul smell. Rogues. A low growl left me as I followed the blood. A loud sound caught my attention as I saw lights coming from the main road and the sound of sirens filled the air.

"Tyler what's going on? Where are you?" I asked through the mind link.

"Am-ambush" he sputtered out through the mind link.

"Tyler take a few deep breaths and tell us where you are" Jason was always level-headed in these situations.

A few moments later Tyler spoke, this time much louder.

"A human found me. I'm being taken to a hospital. I tried to stop it."

I cursed loudly. Not a fucking hospital. The last thing we needed was a pesky human interfering and finding out Tyler healed way faster than he should have. By the time they reached the hospital he'll be half recovered. I shifted back, changing into a pair of clothes we kept behind a tree near the main road. I mind linked Jason, Liv and Imogen to come with me to the hospital, the faster we get him out of there, the less time we give the humans to ask questions.

I watched the ambulance drive towards the town, followed by another car. I could smell the faintest trace of an intoxicating smell in the middle of the road and as it disappeared I couldn't help by try to find where it led to. I signalled to the group to come with me and they all followed. Imogen is Tyler's mate whilst Liv's mate is Jason (Jason and Imogen are siblings, with Jason a year and a half older than Imogen).  Within minutes, we had piled into a car and were en route to the nearest hospital.

I could feel Imogen's nerves as her leg moved up and down in the backseat, with Liv doing her best to reassure her that he would be fine.

"He's a werewolf, his injuries will heal and the humans are just trying to help." She calmly said.

"Even though they don't need to." Jason mumbled. I rolled my eyes and Liv whacked him on the head.

"Oww" He said, rubbing his head and I saw Liv smirk in the corner of my eye. I parked the car and headed inside, pushing the doors open with a bit too much force. Human doors are so flimsy.
