Jasmine's POV
I sat curled on the floor, unmoving. I tried to focus on my breathing but all I could think about was my parents' faces when they saw what I had done. The blood had thickened in my hands and I hugged myself tightly, seeking the comfort I desperately needed.
My breathing remained shaky as the pit in my stomach grew more noticeable. The sounds around me were barely registering whilst I sat, unmoving. I didn't move for what felt like hours, only becoming aware of my surroundings again when a set of warm arms enveloped me.
"It's ok. You're ok" a voice muttered soothingly in my ear as I let out an ugly sob, gripping the arms tightly as if I feared they would disappear. The arms moved under my legs and my back and I felt myself being lifted into the air, my face in front of a hard chest. I was put in a car and a figure leaned across me to fasten my seatbelt.
I stared out of the window, not really noticing the landscape as it passed the window. I closed my eyes, resting my head against the cold glass and I felt the vibrations of the car in my head.
I could feel a headache coming on but didn't bother adjusting myself, instead letting the pounding grow. I only realised the car had stopped when my door was opened and I was unclipped from the seat. The same arms helped me out of the car, carrying me inside and up some stairs. I soon found myself on the edge of a bed in a familiar room.
Alec's room.
Blinking multiple times, I finally noticed Alec looking at me from the door, concern gracing his handsome face. His arms were crossed against his chest, accentuating his large biceps as he watched me intently. I saw the blood that stained small sections of his shirt and looked down at my hands, the red colour was impossible to ignore.
I began unconsciously moving towards the bathroom, not bothering to close the door. I took off my clothes, my legs were also tainted red from the blood that had seeped through my clothing. Alec still hadn't spoken, or if he had I hadn't heard it.
He was probably disgusted by me.
I turned on the water, standing under the shower head as the water changed from cold the hot. It fell off my face and down my body, and I stood in place as it did so. I watched absentmindedly as the murky water swirled down the drain. I registered a 'click' sound and looked to see the bathroom door shut. As I washed myself I heard muffled voices outside the bathroom though paid no attention to them.
Wrapping a towel around me, I exited the bathroom only to see Ally and Alec whispering to each other. When they saw me, Alec smiled sadly and left the room whilst Ally held her arms out to me. I felt tears welling in my eyes as I half-ran towards her.
She didn't care that I was still wet as she hugged me tightly, sinking to the floor with me. She let me cry in her arms, as she rubbed my back in a comforting manner. When I ran out of tears, I pulled away reluctantly. She handed me some tissues, which I accepted and used to blow my nose in a not-so-graceful way. I saw some clothes on the bed and realised I was still in a towel.
"Why don't you go get changed and we can chat when you're done?" I nodded silently, heading into the bathroom and closing the door. I saw myself in the mirror, the puffy face of a guilty-looking girl stared back at me. I put on the tracksuits and Alec's shirt over the bra and underwear that were left for me. I stepped out of the bathroom to see Ally re-entering the room with a tray in her hands. The smell of hot chocolate filled the room and I felt a small smile come onto my face.
