Alec's POV

She's been missing for almost four days. Just the thought was enough to fill me with rage as I sent my printer hurtling across my office.

"Woah" Jason said, his head peeking into my office, Tyler following behind him.

"What was that for?" I sent him a look that made him put his hands up.

"Right yeah."

I ran my hands over my face as I leaned against the front of my desk.

It was all my fault. She was in my house, she should have been safe. I should have kept her safe. Aiden was hardly talking to me, but I could feel him pacing around in my mind. He was just as pissed as me, probably more.

"What do you want Jason?" I asked dejectedly, knowing he was still in the room.

"We might have a lead" My head looked up immediately.

"Well..." I looked between them as they glanced at each other.

"Tell me" I demanded, my voice becoming louder.

"Newmoon pack reported their Gamma missing a few weeks back and they suspected rogues. You know the hunter campsite a while away from here?"

I nodded at him.

"We picked up her scent there and trackers from Newmoon matched the other scents to the rogues that attacked them."

"Are you sure... I mean have you ever considered the possibility that she's..." Tyler began tentatively.

"That she's WHAT?" I yelled.

"A hunter" Jason finished.

"Are you crazy? How insane are yo-" Rage swelled inside of me.

"Think about it, she got increased strength as soon as she met you and you told her about werewolves. Her boyf-" Aiden surfaced at that moment, letting out a deep growl.

"He's a hunter. Wouldn't it make some sense?" Jason pleaded.

No. She can't be. Aiden growled.

"She has advanced hearing. So she can't be" I stated firmly, mainly trying to convince myself. "Hunters don't have that kind of hearing. Plus she healed fast. She's not a hunter." I added quickly, happy with my deduction.

Even if she was she is still our mate.

"Now that you say it, those aren't hunter traits." Jason admitted, scratching the back of his neck.

"Her body wasn't at the campsite so we can assume she's also been captured and is alive." Tyler said, breaking the momentary silence.

"Of course she's alive" I growled, moving to throw my lamp to the same destination my printer ended up, shattered on the floor, when I felt a hand on mine. "You should set up a meeting with Newmoon and see if they have any leads on their Gamma." Jason explained calmly and I steadied my breathing.

"You're right. Let's do it."

Jasmine's POV

The days blended into each other as we followed the same routine. Mush for breakfast. Brady would be taken. He would come back during the time I was questioned. The occasional beating would happen, the worst one left me with a broken rib. Apparently my healing made them even more sure I wasn't human. Mush for lunch. Brady and I would chat for there was nothing else to do. One toilet break a day. There'd be no dinner for us, so then we'd sleep, only to repeat the whole process again the next day.
