The week of Jessica's visit

"A party?"  The brunette girl says with a confused tone. "No Jess, it's not a party party, it's more of a get together." Billie says not so convincingly. "I don't know Bil, this type of stuff isn't really my thing." Jess says, unsure of the situation.

Now Billie would never make her best friend do something she was uncomfortable with, but she was positive once Jess actually went, she'd like it.

"C'mon! Finn, Zoe, and Drew will be there," the silver haired girl begins listing off familiar names that will be at the 'get together' "and you know them. When we hung out with Zoe and Drew last, you had a great time." Billie says trying to convince her, "I'd never put you in an uncomfortable situation, and hey, if you hate it we'll leave." She continues.

"If I can do it so can you, I'll always have your back."  Billie tells her weary friend with a smile, grabbing her hand in a comforting and friendly manor. Jess gives it some thought and finally gives in, but only if Billie promises to never leave her side. To which the girl with the blue eyes automatically agrees too.

"We leave at six, Finneas will drive us!" Billie says excitedly, Jess let's out a dull woo hoo and awkwardly pumps her fist in the air. This could be disastrous or incredibly fun, nothing in between.

Jessica looked good, like really good. Billie had seen her best friend all dressed up but only through her screen, and the blue eyed girl wasn't going to let another second go by without telling her. And since Billie was a very bold person, it wouldn't be difficult to let her know.

"Jessie, you look pretty." Billie said in a baby voice from her position on her bed, slouched over legs spread like usual. The brunette was flattered of course, Billie complemented her all the time but she'd never done it in person.

In addition to her boldness, Billie Eilish was a naturally flirty person. Something Jess noticed as soon as she got to know the silver haired girl. It was a lot for Jess, not that it made her uncomfortable, she just wasn't used to it. Especially with all her insecurities, it was hard for her to accept those complements.

"Thanks Bil" Jessica said simply, with a small nod and smile. "I understand you don't like complements, but you'll have to get used to them. Especially if I'm gonna be in your life." Billie tells the brunette, with an assertive tone. Jess just nods her head again and let's out a small laugh.

"Hey we need to leave now, Billie get out of the mirror." Finneas tells the girls, barging into his sister's room. "Bro! I'm not even in the fucking mirror, Miss Jessie is." She yells at Finneas, throwing her friend under the bus. "Hey! Quit exposing me!" Jessica says laughing, knowing the argument is all in good fun.

"Okay, seriously we need to leave. It's already six." The redheaded boy says, ushering the two girls out of the house.

The drive to the party was uneventful, it was really just Billie playing her music too loud and her and Finn bickering. Jess had to tell them many times to stop because Finneas was going to crash the car.

Once they arrived, Jessica could feel the anxiety creeping in. She of course pushed it down and put on a semi fake smile as she entered the house. Jess let out a fake laugh at something Billie said to really sell it.

"What's up motherfuckers?" Was the first thing the blue eyed girl said when she walked into the party. She was being loud and assertive to compensate for her own anxiety caused by the large crowd in the small house.
