"I cannot express how happy I am that we're moved in." Jess says, with a sigh escaping her lips. "No kidding, I thought for sure we'd be moving boxes for the rest of our fucking lives." Billie agrees, falling on to the couch.

Jess and Billie just finished unpacking the last few boxes and they were exhausted. A few weeks ago Jess asked Billie to move in with her. However, at the last minute they decided to to look for a house instead of Billie moving into the apartment. Which is where they are now.

"We did a good job." Jess says, both girls were so content and happy right now. They had a modest three bedroom, two bathroom house that was close to Finneas and Claudia's as well as Billie's parents.

"I'm so happy, like really happy." Billie says with a smile, pulling Jess close to her. "There's nothing better then this." Jess adds, smiling even bigger then Billie.

"Which is why I wanna do something." Billie responds, standing up and pulling something out of her pocket. "Bil." Jess breathes as she beings to get teary eyed. "Jess, I wanna do this." Billie says, getting down on one knee in front of the couch.

"There's no place I'd rather be then right here. I knew from the moment we met that you were gonna have a huge impact on my life. I can't imagine doing this without you." She starts as tears trickle down her cheeks.

"Please, marry me?" She asks, holing out a ring. Jess takes a moment to think even though she decided years ago that she would spend the rest of her life with the girl in front of her.

"Absolutely I'll marry you. Holy shit!" Jess exclaims, causing Billie to laugh and pull her in for a kiss. "This day just keeps getting better and better." Billie says, pulling Jess in once more for a kiss.

"This ring is stunning. Good pick baby." Jess praises, causing her fiancée's cheeks to flush. "I need to get you one." She adds, making Billie shake her head profusely. "No way, you aren't spending all that on me." Billie says, causing Jess to roll her eyes.

"Shut up, of course I am." Jess responds, further inspecting the ring. It was a beautiful teardrop diamond on a solid gold band, and Jess couldn't have pick out a more beautiful ring. "Look on the inside." Billie says, pointing to the ring.

Once Jess reads the inscription in the inside of the band her heart melts, 'i love you' it reads. It felt like the grown up version of their matching necklaces from all those years ago. "I love it Billie. I love you." Jess says, pulling the blue eyed girl in for a hug.

"I love you too. I can't wait to marry you." Billie responds excitedly. "There's not one I'd rather be with." Jess says softly, kissing Billie's cheek.

It was now a lot later in the day, Jess and Billie were still in a post-engagement bliss. Although Jess had a few concerns, not that she was thinking about breaking it off, she just felt like she and Billie needed to discuss the plan and talk a bit about the future.

"Do you think we're rushing into things?" Jess questions, slightly out of the blue. Billie looks at her fiancée in confusion, promoting Jess to further explain. "I just mean," she pauses, letting a sigh escape her lips.

Jess didn't want to upset Billie or ruin the moment. She also didn't want Billie to think she didn't want this. Jess knew she needed to choose her words carefully, and explain her feelings to the best of her ability.

"We've been back together for what? Seven months?" Jess asks, causing Billie to nod her head. "Okay, and we literally just moved in together today. I mean you're turning twenty in like two months." Jess says, leaving Billie more confused then before.

"What's your point babe?" Billie questions, trying to keep Jess on track. She wasn't sure were Jess was going with this, and she hoped she wasn't planning on breaking the engagement off. "You're not trying to get out of this, are you?" Billie asks, before Jess can answer her first question.

"God, no!" Jess answers, quick to diminish any doubt forming in Billie's mind. "Of course I wanna marry you, don't ever think I don't." She reassures, "I'm just worried it's too soon, or what will everyone think?" Jess says, causing Billie to nod.

There it is, there's the reason why she's freaking out all of a sudden. Jess, bless her heart, is a victim to self-consciousness. She has been for as long and Billie has known her and probably way before that. Jess cared a little bit too much about what people thought about her and her decisions.

It was something she so desperately tried to work on, but at the end of the day, that was who she was. Jess would let other people's opinions cloud her own, and it was a terrible thing. Jess was afraid people would get her head and sway her to think marrying Billie was a bad idea. Billie just had to nip those thoughts in the bud and get Jess back on her track of excitement.

"I know you care what other people think. I get that, but you can't do that with this." Billie says, turning on the couch to face Jess and grab her hands. "This is the right thing, I know it is. I don't want you to think I'm pushing you, because I'm not." She continues, trying to make Jess understand she's not trying to sway her.

"I know your not, I want this too. It's just my anxiety is getting in the way." Jess explains, she's starting to feel bad for this. "I get it, believe me I do." Billie reassures, "but it's normal, okay I've been anxious this whole day." She adds, laughing a bit to bring the mood up.

"I don't want this day to be so heavy, I've voiced my concerns and now I feel better." Jess says, feeling like her emotions were validated and her worries are gone. "I'm glad. And I wanna say about the rushing into it thing." Billie says, pausing for a moment to collect her thoughts.

"We've known each other for almost five years, we know everything little detail about one another." She continues, flipping her hair off her shoulder. "And just because we weren't dating for all those years, they still count." Billie adds, "because I was in love with you, maybe the earlier years I didn't know it but for a good portion I did." She explains, causing Jess to laugh.

"And, now look at us. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you." Billie continues, wiping a stray tear away. "Baby, don't cry." Jess says, wiping her own tears. "I wanna spend the rest of my life with you too." She adds, pulling her fiancée in for a kiss.

"What I'm trying to say is, it's not too early because we've been on this track for a long time. I always knew you'd be in my life forever, either as a friend or a life partner. Now I know we're supposed to be married." Billie finally says, feeling a huge weight come off her shoulders.

They talk for a little while longer, and decide to invite everyone over the next day to share the news. It was an exciting time in their lives an Jess and Billie couldn't wait to start planning the next chapter. Because at the end of the day, they really did love each other— no doubt about it— and they wanted to savor every tiny moment with one another.

Hello!!! I know it's been a bit since I updated but I've been going through a family crisis that has been taking up most of my time.

I wanna say, this chapter totally didn't go they way I expected. I didn't plan on an engagement, it really did just happen organically. I felt like it was the right time, and I'm very happy with the way things turned out.

I'm excited to finish this book, so I'm thinking three or four chapters then I should be done... Which I'm very sad about because writing for Jess and Billie totally brings me comfort and I love them so dearly but I can't write forever.

That being said, I have another book about Billie in the works so go check that out if you're interested!

Anyways you know the drill vote and comment. Let me know what you'd like to see in the last few chapters. How do you think the family will react? Thank you the support, I love u all!
