Chapter 20: Encounter

That night, Xiaozhan arrived at their designated dinner venue with Binbin. When they entered, Yanli was already seated earlier with Zixuan. When he came in the restaurant, she had a glow on her face and his arms were around her shoulders. Xiaozhan admitted that was skeptical about this Zixuan guy at first, but seeing his baby sister smiling like that somehow erased his doubts. Nothing was more important than Yanli's happiness and if this guy could make her happy then he would be content. 

Xiaozhan could not help admire their relationship. He thought that maybe one day he could find someone that would be by his side and one he could smile like that to, that would not be such a bad idea. On his days off they would go off to the beach and watch the sunset together. He would rest his head on his shoulders. On winter they would keep each others bed warm. He felt that he was growing older and tired of fooling around. Maybe settling down was not such a bad idea after all. Xiaozhan did not know why as he thought about those things, Wang Yibo's face flashed across his mind.

"Happy Birthday Zhange!!" Yanli got up from her seat and hugged Xiaozhan. 

"Its been a long time Bin ge.. How are you?" 

Yanli was surprised to see Binbin with Xiaozhan. She appreciate Binbin as a good friend but she also knew he had ambiguous relationship with her brother. The strangest thing was Binbin was actually straight. He was a good friend who knows how to have fun and make the other people around him feel at ease. However did not like to be tied down and was quite fickle minded. He was definitely not a good influence for her brother. Yanli was an old fashioned romantic at heart and did not like playing around in a relationship. She believed in finding the right partner and working with him through ups and downs. Yibo, on the other hand was a much better candidate that let Yanli feel at ease. He had been in contact with her from time to time sharing recipes and reporting to Yanli about Xiaozhan at work. She wondered if Yibo did not come along because of Binbin.

Zixuan just got off the phone and turned to Yanli. "Ahli, my sis is in the hospital right now, her water broke.."

"Oh my god, really? We have to go there then?" Yanli asked. Zixuan's sister JiXuan was around her due date by this time.

"Yes we do, my mom just called and she was still out of town and can't make it tonight. So she hoped we could go in her stead." He said.

"Yes yes we'd better go. Lets catch the movie some other time then." Yanli said

"So what are your plans after this?" Zixuan suddenly asked Binbin and Xiaozhan.

"Umm we've no plans yet. Why?" Xiaozhan answered

"You see we've got two movie tickets we're planning to watch later but we can't anymore. You both can go watch it instead."

"Hmm.. alright. Its been a while since I watched anything." Binbin said taking the movie ticket from Zixuan's hand.

"Hey Yibo, you're home early!" Zoey was sitting by the living room watching her usual korean drama when Yibo entered the house.

"Zoey jie, You're here? When did you arrive?" He asked as he took of his shoes and jacket.

"I just got here in the morning." She replied

"Why didn't you call me? I could've picked you up." Yibo said

"Naah its fine you have school anyway."

"So have you had dinner?"

"No. How about you?"

"Me neither. I'm about to go out get something. Lets eat out together then?"
