20 - CHRISTOPHER

"I bet you thought you weren't gonna come back here anymore," Christopher smirked, taking a chicken nugget and dipping it into his mix of mayo and ketchup.

Nina took a bite from her McChicken, slightly smiling but also choosing to ignore him.

"Huy, que? Se quedó muda la niña?"

"You just won't stop won't you?" Nina huffed.

Christopher shook his head in a childish manner as he leaned into the table, resting his elbow on it. "Nope. You did say the third time. So pay up."

Nina bit her bottom lip in annoyance, taking her phone and sliding it over to him. "Put your number."

"Oh no," Christopher tsked. "I know this little trick. What will guarantee that you'll call me? I want your number so here."

Christopher cheekily slid his phone toward her. Nina's nose twitched and million of curses ran through her head but she reached for the phone despite it all.

"And you better not give a fake number because I'll know."

Nina haughtily huffed. "Yeah? Tell me how?"

"I can always check with Joel."

"How are you so annoying?" Nina half-chuckled as she registered her number.

"It's a talent," Christopher beamed, retrieving his phone back with a smirk.

"Where the hell is Joel?" Nina asked as she glanced toward the stairs. "Does he always talk this much with his mom? It's been more than 20 minutes."

"I'm here," Joel announced with a grin and an empty plate.

Nina quickly got up and gathered her stuff. "Let's go to your room."

Joel eyes immediately went to Christopher who currently looked like he was holding in a fart.

"Not my room!" Joel stopped her from leaving the kitchen. "Zabdiel is watching a movie in there. Let's just work in the living room."

"Sure."

"Breathe, Chris," Joel whispered as he walked past his friend to get to the trash can. "You look weird, stop it."

"What do you mean I can't go?" Christopher whined, exaggerating his pout and stomps on the floor.

Zabdiel and Joel glanced at each other, the two knew that no matter how much they told Christopher no, he will still end up doing whatever he wanted.

"Fine," Joel grumbled. "You know what?"

"No," Zabdiel nervously smiled, trying to stop Joel from stepping down. "He doesn't wanna know what. Let's just go. Christopher, it's a double date, not a triple date. No girl for you."

"No, no," Joel smiled as he kicked his shoes off and threw his jacket on the couch. "I don't feel like going. I saw her and she's not my type. Let Chris go."

Christopher almost threw himself at Joel. "Really?"

"Sure, it's not like you have a girl on your mind anyway. Right?"

"Oh..." Christopher retracted himself as he began to shrunk back into the couch.

"I thought so." Joel grinned before picking his jacket back up.

"Wait, no," Christopher stood up. "We're nothing yet. Let me just have fun one more time before I finally settle down."

"Sounds logical to me."

"Shut up, Zabdiel," Joel scoffed. "Are you serious, Christopher?"

Christopher nodded, "yes. Please. This will be the last time before I become a man of one woman only."

"Fine, whatever," Joel visibly showed his irritation as he walked away from the two and up to his room.

"Well, you've made him upset." Zabdiel tsked. "So... let's go."

Christopher truly wanted to live his old lifestyle just for one more day. In reality, he wanted to see what joy he found in it. Was sleeping around really all that great? Or was it all just his hormones?

"The place is only ten minutes away from here," Zabdiel said once he started the car. "Las chichas están muy lindas."

"Where are they from?"

"One is from Nicaragua, I think, and the other one is a gringa. She's for you."

"I can't pick?-"

"No and carajo papi, acaso no te haz peinado antes de salir?"

"Girls love messy hair. It's my sex appeal."

"tch, quien te habrá dicho esa mentira."

"maneja no más," Christopher lifted his fist as if threatening him while glaring at Zabdiel. "Are we almost there yet?"

"Yes. See that green sign?" Zabdiel pointed toward the sign next to the entrance of a shopping center.

"Olive Garden?"

"Joel chose the spot. The food is good so I accepted."

Zabdiel was able to find a parking space not too far from the actual restaurant so the two were quick to walk into the place. The girls were apparently there already and they didn't want to be any more late.

"Zabdiel?"

The two turned around to the sultry sounding voice with a smile which didn't last long. At least, not for Christopher.

"I'm Lara and this–," the brunette said with a huge smile. "-is my best friend Donna."
