Staring at the Sun [COMPLETED]

Chapter 6

"Gosh Loren I can see your photos everywhere in social media!" Ira exclaimed.

"I told mom to have photoshoot with Peter but she didn't allowed me. But when I let  her saw your photos she said yes!" galak na sabi ni Althea.

I'm with some of my circle of friends at the lobby. They were discussing about my photoshoot ad of Peter's studio.

Hindi ako makapaniwala na umabot agad ng almost 20K ang shares noon. Peter also texted me na marami agad ang nagpabook sa kanya. That's why I'm in high spirit today. Nagplano pa talaga akong manlibre sa mga friends ko mamaya sa Barrio Bistro after class. I'm sure I'll earn a lot.

"You know what, Miguel is dating a Grade 10 girl!" chismis ni Gabby. She's  one of my girl friends too. Lima lang naman talaga ang lagi kong kasama dito sa school Ira, Althea, Gabby and Solene. Nakakatawa pero sila ang number 1 source ko ng mga issue tungkol sa akin.

I raised an eyebrow. Really papatol pala siya ng mas bata. I'm younger than him pero a Grade 10?

"Hindi ka ba masasaktan Lors?" Solene was hesitant to asked me.

"Hindi. Naka move on na agad ako sa kanya. So I don't care if sino ang idedate niya, kahit pa Grade 7." I insisted.

"Wag ako girl, marami rami rin yunh iniyak mo sa kanya last week no!" panunuya ni Ira.

Hinila ko ang buhok niya at baka may makarinig pa na hindi pa nga talaga ako nakamove on kay Miguel. As what I said my pride won't want that.

"Ows, parang ang bilis naman? May bago na ba?" pangiintriga ni Althea.

"Wait? Is that Travis? Omg I saw your pictures in Echelon!"

"Travis who?" Gabby wondered.

" Yung med student, si Travis Lim."

Sasakit ata ang mata ko kakaikot sa kanila. At pati ba naman 'yon umabot sa social media? I sighed in disbelief.

Kinulit pa nila tungkol doon sa pictures namin ni Travis. I saw the pics and it was really us at Echelon. Nagmukhang nakaakbay talaga siya sa akin roon pero hindi naman 'yun totoo. There was a picture kung saan hinawakan niya ang buhok ko kaya positibo itong mga kaibigan ko na may kung ano nga sa amin. I told them  the whole story and they were convinced that Travis was an asshole too.

Natigil lamang ang usapan namin ng may narinig na nagtitilian sa paligid.
I turned to see where the noise come from.

My girl friends are mouth wide open seeing Ulyssis coming to us with a bouquet of sunflowers.

Nagtaas lamang ako ng kilay at naghintay kung sino sa aming lima ang bibigyan niya ng bulaklak.

Though I have an idea na ako dahil panay ang dm niya sa akin nitong mga nakaraang araw.

And sure it was. Tinulak tulak pa ako ng apat sa kanya. Nagpumiglas ako dahil nakakahiya at nagmumukha akong uod na winisikan ng asin. Hindi naman ako kinikilig! Hindi ko bet si Ulyssis no.

He stood confidently infront of me holding a bouquet of flowers. Ira giggled and pulled out her phone. Inirapan ko na. Magiging hot topic na naman ako nito hays.

"Loren, for you." he was hesitant after I didn't move a bit.

I was just there sitting with my friends cheering beside me.

"Tanggapin mo na pa hard-to-get ka masyado." usisa ni Gabby.

His face brighten after I took his flowers. His mouth curved into a smile but I remained stoic.

"Thanks." tipid kong sagot sa kanya.

His face remained delighted though. He looks so attentive to me, like he's waiting for the next words to come out of my mouth.
