Chapter 16

We stayed at one of Syverth's condo unit here in Manila. Medyo nagtampo pa ako dahil hindi niya ako sa bahay nila patutuluyin. He said their house is in Marikina at mejo malapit lang naman itong condo roon.

"Bakit ba kasi hindi nalang tayo dumiretso ron Syve?" nagtatampo na ako rito.

Kung hindi niya lang ako hinalikan kanina sa harapan ng valet niya ay hindi niya ako napapayag tumuloy! Hahahaha! Nahiya tuloy ako kaya pumayag nalang din ako. Nakakakilig din mambara eh.

"Syve, okey lang ba 'tong make up ko? Do I still look like 17?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"You look much younger." he examined my clothes and raised a brow while doing it.

"Huh? Ano ba 'yan baka mapagkamalan nila akong nawawalang kapatid mo!" nag-alala na tuloy ako.

I wore a white lacey dress today paired with  stilletos. I put an effort to my makeup so that I would like I'm on my twenties. Nag search pa talaga ako sa youtube ng mga make-up tutorials for mature looks.

I'm satisfied with my look naman kaya I think binobola niya lang ako.

Syverth's just on his blue long sleeves polo and short pants. He paired with crocs kaya ang cute niya tuloy tingnan.

Dumating kami sa ancestral house nila sa isang high-end estates sa Marikina. The houses are all freakin' big! It screams so much of money. I wonder if there are celebrities here.

I felt my kness trembling when we went inside and was welcomed by uniformed maids. They bowed their heads as we walked and their mayordama guided us to the dining room.

Mahigpit ang hawak ko sa kamay ni Syverth noong papalapit na kami at naririnig ko na ang tawanan ng pamilya.

"Madam, andito na ho sila."

Isa-isang lumingon ang may nasa apat na tao sa long table. Ang isang matandang babae ang nasa kabisera nito. She looks so elegant even when she's aged already. That's Syverth mom. Now I know where Syve got his looks. It runs in the blood.

Syve's dad was old too but he still looks superior. He told me he was a retired general. I thought he's scary ij person but he's all smiles now. Nawala ng kaunti ang kaba ko. The other one on her mom's adjacent seat was his younger brother, and a girl beside him I didn't know.

I smiled at them while Syverth hold my hand as we walked to greet them.

"Anak! How are you huh? I miss seeing your face here." her mother hugged her.

"Lagi mo akong namimiss ma kahit nandito ako." Syverth laughed.

Nagmano naman siya sa kanyang papa at sumunod ako sa kanya dahil hawak hawak niya pa rin ang kamay ko. Ang awkward! Kailan ba kami uupo. Buti na lang at kumuha nang upuan si Syverth sa tabi ng kanyang kapatid. He's facing his brother while I'm facing this unknown girl. I wonder who she is. She looks friendly naman. She smiled at me.

"I know, so this is your girlfriend anak?" Syverth's mom looked at me with nothing but a friendly look.

"Ipakilala mo na kuya." his brother teased him.

"I know eto na nga." tumikhim siya at tiningnan ako. Tipid naman akong ngumiti sa kanya at tumingin sa nagngingiting asong pamilya niya.

"I already told you ma, dad, that I have a girlfriend. Well, a month old but I'm proud to introduce to you Loren." Syverth looked at me with those eyes full of adoration.
