chapter fifteen

(Y/N) tapped her fingers against her knees, playing with the bubbles that she formed with the sugar-free gum that she thieved from the ravenette's pocket earlier without him noticing. Her sight lingered to the view outside the car's window before shifting to Melvin on the backseat whose leash was tied on the interior handle.
After the dinner with the Akihira's was concluded, Daisuke insisted on giving her a ride; the sleepy author slightly did not intend to put on a sexual innuendo in that statement. Even if she doesn't want to, she agreed otherwise since she remembered that she did something hours ago that pretty much brought the boy's mood down greatly.. the least that she could do is to minimize her attitude towards him.
"Hey, this isn't the road to my house." She remarked rather suddenly, taking the attention of the man from the block that he was driving on and landed his sight on her.
Daisuke remained silent and resumed to his gazing on the road as he continued to drive. The (h/c) haired girl mindlessly stared at him, squinting her eyes in an attempt to get him to say anything.
The vehicle stopped which confused her. The ravenette turned to look at her, extending his arm and leaning his body towards her side. This abrupt action caused her to stare at the boy in complete puzzlement.
"Wha.. What are you doing?" She placed both of her arms in front of her chest to create a space between her and the male, their face just a couple of inches away from each other. Daisuke raised his eyebrow, grabbing the car door handle beside her and opening before going back to his former sitting position.
"We're here." (Y/N) shook her head to take off the flustered hue of red that settled on her cheeks before blinking her eyes towards the place outside the car.
"Oh... I guess I was wrong then... it is the right road." She mentally gave her self a facepalm after witnessing her house in front, amused with her whole being for forgetting about her own home address. She turned her heels around to say thank you but was surprised to see Daisuke now standing beside her.
"Is it alright if we have our talk here?" The (h/c) haired girl finally remembered the main reason of the male accompanying her and all she could do was just to nod with his statement. As she took a step towards her yard, she remembered the condition of her living room that made her insides flare in embarrassment.
Since she thought that Daisuke won't be needing her assistance for the day, she practically spoiled herself the other night with balut and milk. Of course, she shared it with her beloved Melvin and before she could comprehend everything; she woke up with the chicken's golden dung scattered in every corner of her house. Since she wasn't given a chance to tidy her place up, it still looks like a landfill until this very moment.
As much as how she wanted to let the raven haired male enter her house and make him suffer and choke on the smell of chicken poop, she couldn't find it in her to heighten her offenses towards him.
Lmao just kidding though... She would really be glad to see him agonize in her own inability to clean her house; it's his fault afterall for insisting to have a talk. The only thing that's stopping her from doing so is that she doesn't want to lose her job and make her sloth-like self find a new one again.
She remembered a certain place that is actually a good location to initiate a conversation, plus, it was just a walking distance from here.
"Let's head to the park!"
•••
The moon's breathtaking yellow light pooled over the cold ground of the park as the buzzing sounds of the bypassing cars whirred on the highway. The soothing humidity of air swift between the two, the young woman shivering after feeling the wind brushing past the exposed skin on her neck.
"Hey, do you think I can blow this gum into a bubble with a size like my head?" She asked out of nowhere, snapping the boy out of whatever it was that he was thinking.
For a couple of minutes, he was pretty silent even if he was the one who invited her to a conversation. Although there is something that he really wanted to talk with her, he just couldn't point his finger on what it is.
"It depends." He simply responded, earning a scowl from the lady. She started chewing the gum and attempted to make a huge bubble. Due to how she seemed to release too much air, the gum went out of her mouth and into the wishing fountain in front of them.
"That was still a good piece of gum." She sighed in disappointment, her sight never leaving the gum that was now floating freely on the murky fountain water like a dead bloated frog on a lake. A huff slipped past her as she tried reaching out for it, only to fail miserably.
Daisuke silently observed her actions, entertained and charmed with her carefree behavior. (Y/N) finally gave up on her futile attempts before turning to look on the male behind her, catching his lips curling a little. The ravenette immediately looked away after noticing the young woman taking note of his light mood and expression, clearing his throat afterwards.
Instead of asking the male what the matter was, she chose to shrug it off and dusted her clothes. She smiled at him before stretching her body, patting his back to stun him out of the evident tenseness that he was showing.
"What are we going to talk about again?" Daisuke blinked his tantalizing ice blue orbs in remembering why they were here in the first place. He parted his lips to push his self to say something, (Y/N) looking at him in patience.
He was about to speak when a gasp cut him. The (h/c) haired girl jolted frantically before clutching on her shirt hysterically while her other free hand was covering her mouth.
"I LEFT MELVIN IN YOUR CAR!"
