IMPERIAL CONSORT VIRTRA'S POV
When the carriage stopped in front of a shop, I sigh heavily. I never thought that I would be coming to this place wearing a cloak. Elpis has given me the order to come here, and as her legal wife, I can't question her action. All I can do is providing advice and tell her if there's another way to deal with any trouble that occurs.
"Imperial consort? Even if you're wearing a cloak, you can't hide your breast size. You're the only one in the capital that has that size. And trust me, I've seen many." She's lucky that Elpis made public execution illegal now.
"How dare you. Here I am trying to hide my identity, and you just have to destroy my disguise." The shopkeeper laughed from behind the counter. It seemed like she is brewing some medicine.
"Imperial consort, we're old friends after all. Why do you need to come to my shop with a disguise?" Old friends? I don't remember having this woman as a friend.
"Lady shopkeeper, please tell me you have no other customer right now. We need to talk. This matter is urgent." The shopkeeper shrugged her shoulder before asking her disciple to close the shop so that we can talk privately.
"I'll do anything to serve the esteemed imperial consort." When the shop door closes, I finally let the hood down and stare at the shopkeeper.
"Please stop staring at my chest. If you want to have the same size as mine, all you have to do is caress your breast. For example, when you're in the bath, you could pleasure yourself and at the same time, give your breasts a massage. Either do it yourself or asked your lover to do them for you. It's best if they suck it." The shopkeeper didn't expect me to say that.
She was both speechless and astounded at the same time. The shopkeeper cleared her throat before showing me the way to a room at the back of her shop. Inside, she offered me a seat and asked if I wanted to drink. I declined her offer since I don't want to be poison by this lecherous woman.
"So, what kind of request Elpis has for me?" Elpis? How dare she called my wife's name like that. After what she had done, she has no right to say her name so casually.
"You dare called her like that? You ungrateful little bitch." The shopkeeper smiled.
"Are you still holding it against me? I asked for her permission to leave the harem. And Elpis said yes. Don't get me wrong. I am grateful that her highness let me do what I want. She even helped me to open this shop." I don't have time to listen to her excuses.
"I don't know why Elpis even find you worthy of becoming her concubine. Just remember that even if you're not living inside Galatea Palace anymore, Elpis still owned your life." The shopkeeper nodded.
"And the reason why I'm here is that Elpis need a whole batch of your most lethal poison and the antidote together. She needs them by the end of this month. Is it possible?" She was surprised and confused at the same time.
"A whole batch of my most lethal poison? Why would her highness need that?" To be honest, I have no idea. She never explained to me anything. All she did was telling me why I should do.
"Lady shopkeeper, please. You've been together with her highness for as long as I have. Do you think she would tell me anything?" She hummed.
"There's no need for you to wait until the end of this month. I have a whole batch of poison prepared beforehand." I was surprised.
"Why would you have a whole batch of poison?" The shopkeeper smirked.
"Because there is a lot of high-status woman trying to find the best poison in town recently. I am just doing a legal business here." I see. Now that the war is over, I guess every wife of a soldier need to kill their husband so their husband won't discover their lewd act especially when they managed to get themselves pregnant without their husband being there.
