THIRD PERSON POV

"THOSE USELESS BUMPS! What's the point of prisoning their family if they died in the end! I asked them to kidnap Virtra! Why do they have to go that far and get themselves caught!" Virtacus let down his binoculars and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Living with Elpis for 17 fucking years has changed my sister's judgement. She can't even choose what is right and what is wrong!" Virtacus turned to his queen, who is enjoying her bowl of fruit.

"We've been staying here for quite some time. Now that we knew that phase two of our plan has failed, we need to find some new place to hide. Rats are everywhere in this forest." The queen mentioned. Virtacus looked around and understood what his queen meant by 'rats'.

"I understand. We should leave now then." As Virtacus and the queen was getting ready to leave, a figure showed up with a smile on her face.

"I finally found you! Do you have any idea how hard it was for me to follow your track from that village?" Noble consort Grace revealed herself from her hiding place.

The North Kingdom guards surrounded their rulers' to protect them from harm.

"You are too bold, noble consort Grace. Aren't you afraid of death?" Grace shook her head, no.

"I was stabbed multiple times while trying to find you two. So I think I can handle this matter even with my injury. Don't worry," Grace pulled out her sword.

"I will make everyone remember your death." Before Grace could even take the first step, she beginning to projectile vomit blood. The queen smirked.

"I forgot to mention that my guards carried around a special weapon. That's how the North get things done. To ensure our enemies death." Virtacus smirked at the sight of the mighty noble consort finally succumb to the poison.

"Do you think a mere poison could stop me from killing you two?" Grace forced herself to stand up straight.

"Please don't hurt yourself, noble consort. You'll die even before you could get yourself closer to us. Just don't waste your energy." The queen was sarcastic.

Grace's vision started to get hazy. She was careless when she let herself got stabbed by the enemy's soldier.

"You won't get away!" Grace reached out for something that she kept hidden on her back and smiled at both Virtacus at his wife.

"Let see ... if you can ... run away from Elpis this time." Grace released a flare signal from the where she stands before she lost her consciousness. Virtacus's eyes widened and ordered for their escape as soon they can.

Not far from where Virtacus and his wife were, Elpis together with her battalion noticed the flare signal and ordered the soldiers to surround every single entrance that leads to the hill.

"Should I be worried? I have a bad feeling about that flare signal." Elpis took the initiative to go up the hill and see for herself who gave out the signal.

"Elpis!" High consort Bella placed a finger on her lips when he noticed a group of people trying to find a way out from the hill.

"We're too late! They have surrounded us! What should we do now, my queen?!" Elpis raised an eyebrow when she noticed it was Virtacus.

"If only we didn't take the time to stabbed that noble consort to make sure that she's dead! We could be making our escape now!" Elpis's heart dropped when she heard the word 'noble consort'.

Bella grabbed hold of Elpis's arm when she was about to reveal herself.

"It may not be Grace. We shall wait for the others. We can't risk it." Elpis didn't care. She pulled out her sword and walked out from the bushes. It gave Virtacus a fright of his life when he saw Elpis suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
