Y/n's pov

"Where did that delinquent go?" The nurse asked as she heard the door close. "Up your ass, that's where." I said while chuckling. She didn't say anything else. She just shook her head. While time passed by, making it close to 2, which was the time we go home, I heard her mumble "stupid greasers." "What the fuck did you just say?" I said while standing up. "Nothing, nothing, I'm sorry." She said in a scared tone. "You'd best be." I said. Instead of sitting back down, I walked out of the nurses office to go to the detention room, which was the library. When I got there, Dallas was already there sitting in a seat. I walked past him to sit in a different seat but before I could sit, he pulled my arm into the seat next to him. "What?" I snapped at him. "Fuck off, Winston." I said as I got up to sit two seats behind him. He turned around, looked at me and winked. Once he turned back around the teacher for detention, Mr. Beesworth, walked in. "Let's get this over with. You have to write an essay. 500 words. Sound good. Ah, don't care. Get to work! I'll be in my office. No talking, no nothing." He said. Pretty sure everyone rolled there eyes. Once he left I got up to sit against a bookshelf. As I sat down. Dallas went over to the teachers desks that was empty. He took the papers and started throwing them everywhere. I got up and did the same, laughing with him as we did it. I soon grew tired and went back to the bookshelf to sit down. Dallas came over, laid down to put his head in my lap, and took out two cigarettes. He put on in my mouth and lit it for me. I smiled ever so slightly so he couldn't see. I wanted to make eye contact with him but I didn't. I kept my head up and looked at the ceiling. As I sat there, my eyes began to feel heavy. I looked down at Dallas to see he was sleeping. I put both of our weeds out and decided to go to sleep too. When I woke up, we had 5 minutes left of detention. I got up, making Dallas's head hit the floor. "Ow." He said while yawning. "We've got 5 minutes left in this shit hole. Get up." I said. He got up. I walked over to my desk and crumbled the paper. Five minutes went by and Mr. Beesworth walked in. Before he could say anything I ran out of the door. I ran down the hallways to see Ponyboy. "HEY, HORSEGUY." I yelled. He turned around while laughing. "Hey y/n/n!(your nickname)" I went up to Pony, threw my arm over his shoulders and ruffled his greased hair. "Come on, let's go get some candy at the DX!" I said excitedly. We raced to the DX to find Steve and Sodapop workin' on a old fashion car. "Hey Soda, here comes the hobos." Steve said. "Really? I'm pretty sure he was here all day." I said while pointing at him. "Nice comeback. Hey Sodapop." Pony said to me, then started goin' over to Soda. Steve came over to me and started talking about random things. Steve and I were the type of people that got along great one day, and not so well the next. Today was one of the good days. "Heya Y/n wanna come help me with something?" He asked. "Sure Stevie." I said. I always called him Stevie instead of his real name. He's never had a problem with it. Only when anybody who wasn't me called him it. "You can't call me that." He'd say to them. It's like I'm special or something.
