Falling is hard
I know this
Because the ground is cold
Like the ice in your eyes
As I slip into the water beneath them
Falling, drowning in their depths
I feel it again
The dizziness, my rapid heartbeat
Thundering against the weak ribs I've so desperately attempted to cage it inSo I fall
And fall
And fall
And hit the ground again
And I know it's pointless but-
I still wish
On everything
On pennies
On stars
On your smile
The stars, your smile
Was there ever really a difference between the two?- why can't I stop feeling it?
