last summer,
you showed me the wonders of the night sky-
a blanket of wishes draped over the world
"ursa major, cassiopeia, aquila"
stories bigger than we could fathom
bigger than we could be
nonetheless, we dreamed
i still remember:
how you looked up into space
and said your favorite was still scorpius
but when you asked about mine
i said i couldn't choose
because out of all the stars that shine
the brightest one was you
