what do you dream of?
I dream of angels and demons, ichor on white marble floors, I dream of waves that brush heaven and fluttering eyelids, Of delicate flowers and walls of thorns, I dream of the light through the trees, I dream of ash like snow and tongues like razors, (sometimes, if I'm lucky, I dream of you. )
Are you afraid of anything?
Everyone is afraid of something.
Of what?
I'm scared of the future. I'm scared of death and the ocean and the heavens as they crash. I'm afraid of the dark. (But more so of the dark in my chest, can you see I'm bleeding black? Is the truth seeping from my veins yet? Im scared, most of all, of you.) Do you dream?
I think I have the same dream every night
(My darling, so do I. I dream my wings are back. I dream you're falling, so fast, so far. No matter where, no matter when, I don't catch you. I don't catch you.)
I dream I'm falling. I dream you catch me.
Im dreaming again now, aren't I? That's why you're here.
