Ch.9: Broken Home

After Y/n's discussion with Snape, Y/n made his way to the Great Hall where he saw students walking out. He reached the doors where he saw the trio stand

"Hey Y/n" Harry smiled greeting the boy who walked over

"Hello. How did it go?" Y/n asked

Harry explained to Y/n about how it was really Querrell who was the culprit and that he was working for Voldemort to try and get the stone to revive him

"Wow. Can't believe you actually pulled it off" Y/n says shocked

"Well I couldn't have done it with out you. All of you" Harry says causing Hermione and Ron to smile and Y/n give a light chuckle

"Well we should probably be headed off for the train now shouldn't we?" Hermione said to the boys who nodded in return

"Yep. Oh and Y/n..." Ron says getting the boy's attention. "Thank you. I'm sorry for what I said I was wrong" Ron says looking down

"Apology accepted" Y/n said giving a small smile before yawning. "It sure was a long day"

"So what did Snape talk to you about?" Hermione asked causing the other to boys to turn their attention to Y/n

"Sorry can't tell ya. Student-teacher matters you know" Y/n smiled awkwardly

"Yeah I suppose" Hermione said

"Well we should get going"

The four made their way back to the train station where the Hogwarts Express was stationed to take them back to King Cross Station. The four entered a compartment where they talked and shared laughs on their way home. A few hours later they arrived at Diagon Alley where the group began to depart from the train

"I'll see you guys next year!" Ron shouted waving as he left with his brothers

"I'll be off too" Hermione said smiling then looks down

"What's wrong Hermione?" Harry asks

"Its nothing. Just... thanks... for being my friends" she smiled as she waved and departed

"What about you Harry?" Y/n asks to a now saddened Harry

"Back home I guess. To the Dursley's" Harry responded in disappointment

"I'd offer you a room at my home but I... sorry I can't" Y/n said looking at the black haired boy who smiled softly

"That's all right maybe next year" Harry said in a smile as he hugged Y/n and began to depart

"See you soon Harry"

"See you later Y/n"

As the two separate, Y/n sighs and looks towards the other students whose parents had come to pick them up. Y/n continues to walk and enters an inn known as The Leaky Cauldron. Y/n walks in and observes the atmosphere; he sees many students still hanging out with friends while they wait for they're parents or other students who are with they're parents

"May I help you young one?" Asks an aged female server

"Yes I would like a room please" Y/n says in a tired tone

"What's the matter?"

"I would rather not talk about it"

"Very well"

After paying for a one night stay, Y/n takes his belongings and went to his room. He made his way to his room and closed the door behind him, staring at the one bed, otherwise empty, room

"What was I thinking? Where'd I think I could go?" Y/n says quietly before going over go Noct, who is standing and staring at the boy. "Do you think I made a mistake Noct? Running from home?" Y/n asked the owl who stared blankly at him. "Hmh look at me, talking to an owl like it can talk back"
