Year 3 Ch.17: New Year New Faces

A few months have passed and Y/n had began to grow into a young man. He grew taller, voice became a bit deeper, and gained a bit of muscle due to his training with Ray. Near the end of break they had begun working at a child health institution. The near school year was vastly approaching and Y/n couldn't wait to see Hermione and the others. He wrote letter to then as well as Neville, Seamus, and Draco occasionally

"Its almost time Noct. A whole new year is just over the horizon" Y/n said as he pet Noct's fur

Y/n sat on a couch in the empty house waiting for the arrival of Ray and Jade. He made plans with Hermione and Ron to meet up at the Leaky Cauldron tomorrow morning in time for the first day at Hogwarts. Y/n laid in bed and closed his eyes resting. As he laid motionless an image of Tom appeared in his mind followed by the Basilisk striking forward. Y/n suddenly jumped in a cold sweat. His arm began to burn and he rubbed it trying to relieve the pain a bit. Y/n slowly laid back down and looked at Noct who was scratching himself with his beak. Y/n felt himself grow tired and he drifted into sleep

"Where am I?" Echoed the voice of Y/n in a black abyss

Suddenly a Titanoboa began to coil itself around Y/n and began to squeeze him. He looked up at its face and saw that of the Basilisk. The snake bit at Y/n and he closed his eyes but when he reopened them he was in the Chamber of Secrets. "Tom" he said at the teenage boy who stood across from him

"The day will come" he hissed and smiled evily before everything faded

Y/n opened his eyes to a shaking sensation and saw that Jade was beside him

"Are you ok?" She asked with concern

"Y-yes" Y/n hesitated

"Nightmare?" Jade asked and Y/n nodded

"Here" Ray said giving Y/n a piece of chocolate. "It'll make you feel better" he smiled

"I had a dream where a Titanoboa was squeezing me but its head was that of the Basilisk that bit me when I looked at it. I then opened my eyes to find myself in the Chamber of Secrets with Tom" Y/n explained taking a bite of his chocolate

Jade and Ray looked at eachother concerned at the dream that Y/n had. It was clear that he is having post traumatic stress from the events

"Don't worry. You're safe now" Jade hugged the boy. "Tomorrow you'll see your friends and you guys will start your new year at Hogwarts"

"Its gonna suck not having you guys there"

"Don't worry. After the year is over you can come back here and see us" Ray smiled

"Thank you"

Later that night the three sat outside looking at the star filled sky. They made a fire that kept them warm from the cold weather. They sat in silence just admiring the stars and enjoying eachother's last night together before the new year begins. The sun began to rise on the new day as everyone was getting ready for their day.

"Ok books check. Cauldron check. Noct check" Y/n said as he was gathering his supplies. "Ok I think I'm ready"

Y/n went to the living room and saw Jade and Ray standing waiting for Y/n

"You ready?" Ray asked and Y/n nodded

"Ok then step inside here" Jade said taking Y/n into the fireplace. "Take some of this Floo powder and throw it down. Before you do say 'Diagon Alley' as clear as you can ok"

Y/n picked some floo powder. "Diagon Alley!" He threw it down and was engulfed in green flames and reappeared walking outside of a fire place in the center of Diagon Alley. Seconds later, Ray and Jade came out as well
