Ch.6: Christmas

3rd POV
Y/n had left the castle and went down the path to Hagrid's hut. Running down the path he reaches the group

"Hey what I miss?" Y/n says getting his breathe

"Oh just Professor Snape trying to mess up Harry with a curse on his broomstick" Ron says angrily

"What?" Y/n asks

"Nonsense. Why would Snape put a curse on Harry's broom?" Hagrid replies as he turns to us

"Who knows. Why was he trying to get past that 3 headed dog on Halloween?" Harry retorts

"Who told you bout Fluffy?" Hagrid asks

"Fluffy?" Hermione questions

"That thing has a name?" Y/n asks

"Well, of course he's got a name. He's mine. I bought him off an Irish feller I met down at the pub last year. Then I lent him to Dumbledore to guard the..." Hagrid pauses

"Yeah? Yes?" Both Harry and Y/n question both smiling

"Shouldn'ta said that. Don't ask any more questions. That's top secret, that is" Hagrid says turning to the group before walking again

"But Hagrid, whatever Fluffy's guarding, Snape's trying to steal it!" Harry pleads

"Codswallop. Professor Snape is a Hogwarts teacher" Hagrid replies

"Hogwarts teacher or not, I know a curse when I see one. I've read all about them. You have to keep eye contact. And Snape wasn't blinking!" Hermione exclaims

"Exactly!" Harry adds

"Now, you listen to me, all four of you. You're meddlin' in things that ought not to be meddled in. It's dangerous. What that dog is guarding is strictly between Professor Dumbledore and Nicholas Flamel" Hagrid scolds

"Nicholas Flamel?" Y/n questions

"I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that. I should not have said that" Hagrid says as he walks into his hut and closes the door

"Nicholas Flamel? Who is Nicholas Flamel?" Harry ask looking towards the others

"I don't know. But the name sounds familiar" Y/n says

Christmas eve had rolled around and students were in the Great Hall hanging out while some other students were heading off for the Holidays. The boys are sitting in the Gryffindor table as Harry and Ron play wizard's chess and Y/n reads a book about Hogwarts history to try and find anything on Nicholas Flamel

"Knight to E5" Harry says as the knight moves to empty space by itself

"Queen to E5" Ron says as the queen moves over and destroys the knight piece

"That's totally barbaric" Hermione says walking up to the table

"See you've packed" Ron says

"I see you haven't" Hermione retorted. "You know you two can help Y/n look for information about Nicholas Flamel"

"We can worry about that after holiday break" Ron says brushing off Hermione. "Besides we've looked a hundred times and nothing"

"Not in the restricted section" Hermione smiles

"Bingo" Y/n adds making her smile

"Happy Christmas" she says as she leaves

"I think you have a bad influence on her" Ron says looking at Y/n

"I guess. But she's not wrong" Y/n says as he smiles making Harry laugh and Ron look at us nervously

The next day
Christmas day had just awoken and the students of Slytherin that remained all went downstairs to open their presents. Y/n walked down and by the tree but found none that had his name
