January 2004 -
Sacrificing your happiness for the happiness of the one you love is by far the truest type of love.It has been a wild ride, Ella thought to herself as she sat in the hotel waiting for Marshall to come back from another interview, she was startled when the hotel room door flew open and slammed shut.
"I'm going to kill that bitch"
"Who?"
Marshall ran his hands over his face and tugged at his freshly bleached hair, eyes big as saucers, he was high.
Ella silently prayed he hadn't sat through the interview like that as he sat down next to her.
"Kim, she's back to not letting me see Hailie or Alaina"
"Is there nothing you can do?" Ella said quietly, heartbreaking yet again for her Boyfriend, every time he went through this battle, he slipped more into the unraveled reckless state.
"Paul's trying to work for custody, but with my music, Kim's coke-addicted ass still looks better, we just have to catch her out, she hates that I'm with you still"
Ella sighed, she knew that was the case, as much as she loved Marshall, she hated that she was the real reason Kim wouldn't let him see Hailie and Alaina.
Ella was a smart young woman, no matter how evasive Marshall was when it came to the topic, she knew, she could read him like an open book.
The more she thought about it lately the more guilty she felt for being so selfish and having Marshall when there were two little beautiful girls out there missing their daddy because of her.
Her heart broke at the revaluation, leaving Marshall would kill her.
It would kill him, they had been through so much together.
"You zoning out again, your all good"
He'd snapped her out of her internal battle, she felt nauseous.
"I don't think you can keep being with me"
Marshall frowned, clearly confused at her statement.
"Ella what do you mean? If you think I got off with those girls you know I didn't"
"Not that" she sighed, her heart beat faster, it hurt throbbing in her chest "I mean if you ever want your daughters, you need to let me go"
"Ay, I ain't giving into that bitch" He said, he was now angry "I fucking love you, I ain't ditching you just coz that whore is uncomfortable with me being happy, fuck no" He picked up the stool and threw it across the suite, hitting a mirror and shattering it.
The irony of it was too much.
Tears ran down Ella's cheek "I'm the thing that's standing between you and those little girls that need you"
"I fucking need you, I ain't letting you just leave like that? Are you fucking crazy? Ella listen to yourself, I'll get the girls, I'll just have to wait"
"But you don't Marshall, you could have them now" Ella said, she was blubbering at this point, tears flowing freely, hitting her lap as Marshall paced, occasionally picking stuff up and launching it across the room.
"You don't even want to fucking do this, look at you, man all the shit we been through, losing our baby, Please baby I'm not fucking letting you go, you're my..." Marshall said sitting down next to her quietly trailing off "You're my soul mate, my future, I don't want anyone but you, I want to ride this fate with you, I wanna marry you, have more kids with you.."
