Ella looked at Marshall in shock, she was speechless, did she really just hear what she think she did?

"Aren't you gonna say something?"

"I don't know what to say"

Marshall frowned, and sighed.

"Okay, so as usual Kim and I ain't working out, like before and ever since I ran into you a few weeks ago, it kinda helped me make my decision"

"What decision?"

He half smiled at Ella before he continued "I know who I belong with, and it ain't a coked up whore that's for sure" He smirked "It's You, I belong with, are we really gonna pretend this ain't what we both want? What we both wanted?"

Ella took a good look at Marshall, he looked older, tired and worn, the drugs, alcohol and the messy end to their relationship followed by a 2 year toxic relationship had taken its toll, he was now a little on the heavier side, he'd gained weight but still looked good, she didn't mind, he was still as handsome as ever.

"You know I meant what I said" She whispered, her heart was pounding in her chest.

Marshall reaches for her hand and bring it back to his lips "I've never stopped loving you, hell I never even stopped thinking about you, I've been crazy without you the last 2 years, I should have fought harder for you before you left"

"I left you so you could have your daughters Marshall, it wasn't because I didn't love you and wanted to leave, I left because I love you that much, I want you to be happy" Ella said softly "It wasn't my intention to break your heart, ever"

"I have them now, but I don't have you, you've been my happiness, without you, these last few years has been hell, do you know how fucked up that is? Are you gonna come back and make me whole again?"

"That's very brave of you Marshall Mathers"

"I'm not one to beat the fuck around the bush Ella, you know me better then that"

Ella thought for a moment, she was melting under Marshall's gaze which was dripping in every emotion, obvious the extacy that was pumping through his veins helped magnify those emotions and then she smiled at him.

"I did something for you, a few months into the break up"

"You did?" He replied confusion across his face as she nodded and leaned in closer so no one could hear.

"I got a secret tattoo"

Marshall's eyebrows shot up and a smirk spread across his face "Oh yeah, Where?"

Ella just smiled in reply and shrugged.

"Oh you ain't gonna tell me huh? Am I gonna find out?" He leaned in and breathed in her scent, god he missed her.

"Am I gonna be shot down if I ask you to go home with me?"

"What about Kim?"

"I kicked her ass out 3 weeks ago" He chuckled "The girls are with my Aunt Betty" He looked into her eyes "So, will you please come home with me?"

Ella's heart, body and soul were screaming yes when her mind was screaming no.

This is what you want, you're not standing in the way of anything now, he's all yours.

Anything could go wrong again, are you really ready for that trauma again?

"Yes"

———

Walking into his house followed by Ella.

It looked exactly how she remembered it, Marshall was a creature of habit after all, he never was one to handle change very well and his work and living surroundings mirrors that.

"Can I get you anything to drink?" He said breaking her out of the thoughts, she looked at him, he appeared to be nervous, she smiled, glad he never changed.

"Water, Thank you" Ella smiled then continued to look at the wall full of photos, picture of Marshall and his girls mostly, paces where others may have been, Ella assumed they may have been Kim's photos with the girls.

She stepped behind Marshall who handed her a bottle of water and gestures for her to follow him upstairs.

"I still have our photos, I hid them at the studio because I knew that bitch would try destroy them" Marshall said pulling Ella into the bed room, sitting in the bed with her standing between his legs.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Are you fucking crazy Ella, I've never NOT wanted to do this"

"What if something else gets in the way? I don't think I can handle it again"

"I swear on my life, the only way out of it this time is if we're in bodybags"

"Oh Marshall you always did have that romantic flare" Ella chuckled sarcastically.

He snorted and fell backwards on the bed pulling her with him, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her tightly to his chest.

"I missed you so much" He mumbled, focusing on the moment "I was angry with you for such a long time"

"I know, and I'm sorry"

"No, I was selfish, you did what you thought was best, and by rights it was, because thats who you are, you're just a hell of a woman, you care"

Ella smiled and snuggled back into Marshall, she felt whole again, it was so weird that one person could have that much affect on her, but he did, he was her heart.

"So, this tattoo?"

"Yes?"

"Gonna show me?" He smirked.

Ella giggles and climbed off the bed, reaching around to the back of her dress, unzipping it and letting it fall to the floor.

She felt Marshall's eyes running over her body as he sat up and focused, She then pulled the top of her panties slightly revealing a infinity symbol with "Marshall" and "Mathers" written in script along each of the loops on the left side of her pelvic bone, low enough that any bottoms she wore would cover it.

"Yo no shit, you got my name tattooed on you?" He said in shock, pulling her closer so he could inspect it better, tracing it with his fingers.

"When I said forever, I meant it" Ella shrugged "Just because we weren't together doesn't mean I was gonna forget it"

Marshall stood up and grabbed Ella's waist and pulled her towards him again, this time crashing his lips to hers, hungry, aching to taste her, it had been a long two fucking years.

"I love you" Ella whispered.

He pulled away resting his head on hers, and whispered back.

"I love you more"
