March 2006

Ella cuddled up the the warm snoring body next to her, it felt like they had never been apart.

After reconnecting, Ella moved back in with Marshall, she felt like she was home again, seeing the girls, being by his side all the time, everything fell back into place, she tagged along for most things, at least sober, she could make sure the guys didn't make dumb decisions, Marshall respected that.

Except one little issue.

The amount of pill bottles she found scattered around Marshall's place, she found it odd, but who was she to question a dr, after all he had to be getting the prescription sleeping pills somewhere right?.

Ella was well aware that the fame gave Marshall anxiety and it kept him awake at night, so really she had no reason to ask him otherwise.

She stoked his naked chest which rose and fell slowly, he had gotten home late from the studio and climbed into bed at some early hour, he was was currently working on a new collaborative album with D12 and many other Detroit artists, Marshall had decided not to tour this year as he had a lot of other projects planned.

Ella smiled and quietly slid out of bed, pulled a pair of shorts on and a singlet and headed out to the kitchen to start breakfast, except when she looked at the time it was already 1 pm, shrugging she continued and went ahead and begin what would now be a late lunch.

———

Marshall felt the bed next to him, his eye snapping open he sat up quickly, then breathing when he could see all Ella's things.

He still sometimes had his moment where he reverted back to when they were apart, especially when he was waking up, confused and zoned out after the sleeping medication.

When his heart slowed back down and his small panic attack has passed he heard noises from the kitchen, smiling to himself he Went and had a quick shower, standing under the warm water he though about how happy he was, his life had almost halted when Ella had left and he felt like he'd lost everything, which was odd considering he was one of the biggest stars in the world right now.

He stepped out of the shower and caught a glimpse of himself, he'd gotten a bit pudgy, the drinking non stop had really taken his toll, shrugging he also put it down to his Waco sleeping patterns, but he's got help for that.

Popping a few ambian for his headache he pulled a pair of sweats and a fresh T-shirt on and headed to the kitchen.

"Morning beautiful"

"Morning Marsh" Ella beamed "You got in late, did you sleep okay?"

"Yeah I feel pretty refreshed today, I'm not gonna go into the studio until later so you wanna do something?"

She smiled at him, his heart pounded, he still couldn't believe after all these years he still had that same reaction to her, she gave him life and never did he imagine he'd feel this crazy about a woman that wasn't Kim, but then he met Ella and everything changed.

"Sure that sounds great, I made you breakfast" She giggles "Except when I checked the time I realised it was after lunch" She then placed down some waffles in front of him.

"Aw babe, thanks, I'm actually starving" Marshall replied and pulled Ella on his lap who started to laugh.

"Guess I'm eating like this then?" She smiled.

"Sure are, I'm sure you can manage" Marshall laughed not releasing his arm from around her while he ate with his free hand.

Shrugging Ella pulled her plate over and started to eat from Marshall's lap, shine getting back together he'd been more clingy then he was before, which was understandable, the only time he did spend away from her is when she had to go into work to check in or if he was in the studio and she didn't come, but in most cases he has insisted that she was with him, just like old times.

"Do you want to come to the studio later with me?"

"Sure, you'll have to let me go to shower at some point though" Ella laughed.

Marshall snorted as he continued to shovel food in his mouth, arm not loosening around Ella's waist once.

"I got two years to make up for, I'm not letting you go for shit"

Ella rolled her eyes at him as she finished  her final bit of food "You gonna shower me then"

Marshall dumped his fork on his plate.

"You know what? I thought you'd never ask" He smirked, lifting her up bridal style and taking her to the bathroom, stopping off for his second shower.

———

"You know one day soon I'm gonna carry you over that threshold as my wife for real" Marshall mumbled as they laid on the bed naked, still not dressed after the passionate love making in shower "We gonna have those babies too"

Ella couldn't help but blush "Oh yeah, you gonna make an honest woman out of me Marshall Mathers?"

"You bet your fine ass I am" He said and stoked her face "I meant it when I said you ain't going anywhere ever again, I also meant it when I told Kim that I wanna have kids with you"

Ella smiled at him, his face was calm and relaxed, it made her feel warm and fast that he openly spoke about it with her again, he struggled after their loss.

"I know, she told me, and I would love that in the future for us"

Marshall pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her tighter.

"We gonna make beautiful kids"

"What makes you so sure it's gonna be your genes?"

He chuckled and he began to tickle her "She got jokes, keep it up princess"

"Ok ok, we, Hailie is beautiful, she looks so much like you, you made a gorgeous kid"

"I'm glad I had time to think you know? Not a day went by I didn't think of ya"

"I know Marsh, I'm sorry.."

"Don't be, it made me realise you're the only one I ever want, for the rest of my life"

Ella leaned in and kissed Marshall on the lips with every once of passion she had within herself.

She couldn't ask for her life to be more perfect right now.

Unseen in the background, Fate was quietly slipping lead into the boxing-glove, ready to throw her next punch.
