HIS hands stroked the side of my hips as I tried keeping the permanent smile off of my face. Happiness could not express the emotion I was feeling at the moment. He had asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course, it may not have been a big deal to him, but it was to me. It meant that I was important to him, it meant that he wanted me, it meant that he was feeling everything that I was feeling, and that made me content. I had a right to feel that way. We were currently walking to his car parked in the driveway after having dinner. I clung onto him as a shield protecting me from the windy weather. A sadness washed over me when he got in his truck to go, for some reason I wanted to stay by his side.
"Can I spend the night at your place?" I asked laying against his body as he leaned up against the truck.
"Baby you got work in the morning."
"So"
He chuckled, "I'll come pick you up as soon as you get off tomorrow."
"That's too long," I tried everything I could to persuade him kissing his left cheek repeatedly.
"Tia"
I gave up heading back into the house. He grabbed me by the waist spinning me around planting a kiss on my lips that almost made me fall backwards.
"Goodnight," he got in the truck after kissing me as I stood in a daze.
"Goodnight"
When I got back inside the house Ally was cleaning up. Andre has left about an hour ago after helping her with some final touches on the walls they had repainted. I closed the front door leaning up against it smiling. I shut my eyes taking the time to just think about Owen.
"What's got you all smiles tonight?" Ally asked chuckling sweeping the carpet.
"Owen asked me to be his girlfriend." I walked into the living room.
"Bout time," she smiled putting the broom down.
I sat on the couch getting lost in my thoughts again.
"Girl that nigga got yo nose wide open." Ally sat down beside me.
"I know, I can't help it."
She leaned back smirking at me, "what happened?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean you're so needy and clingy to him lately. You weren't like this before."
"Nothing happened we just...kissed."
"That's it Tia, and he got you like this."
"It was a really good kiss."
